On 10/25/09, I ordered the "Gold One Kit" electronic cigarettes from www.smokingeverywhere.com

I authorized a charge of $9.95 to my Discover card to pay shipping for a 14 day "free trial."

On 10/30/09, I received the electronic cigarettes from Smoking Everywhere via USPS. The product was defective, so I returned them to Smoking Everywhere on 11/2/09 via UPS.

On 11/5/09, Smoking Everywhere received the return via UPS - I have proof of delivery with signature confirmation from the UPS website.

On 11/17/09, Smoking Everywhere made an unauthorized transaction to my Discover card in the amount of $99.02.

On 11/20/09, I called Smoking Everywhere and spoke with Blondine (1/800-613-0337 ext 210) and was told Smoking Everywhere would refund $99.02 in 3-5 days

(Case # 7XYPPC).

On 11/30/09, there was still no refund on my credit card, so I called Smoking Everywhere again. Each time I call, I have to wait at least an hour to speak with someone. I was told that if the refund wasn't there by 12/2/09, to call Sara the Supervisor (ext 135).

On 12/2/09, after all this wasted time and frustration, I called Discover card and told them Smoking Everywhere had made an unauthorized transaction on my credit card in the amount of $99.02. They took down contact information for Smoking Everywhere and refunded the $99.02 to my credit card. However, Discover said if Smoking Everywhere continues to make unauthorized transactions on my card (which they undoubtedly will), I'll have to close my account. This is the only credit card I have and it would be a hardship to lose it.

Smoking Everywhere are criminals. I made the mistake of not checking the Bad Business Bureau or the Better Business Bureau before I ordered from them. The Bad Business Bureau has (17) complaints for the same exact problem I had. The Better Business Bureau has (294) complaints against Smoking Everywhere with a score of  "F" for the Sunrise, FL location.

If you are having this problem, please call your bank (if the transaction was debited from a checking or savings account) or your credit card. Dealing with Smoking Everywhere will get you nowhere. I'm sure there are other agencies to file complaints against them, such as the Federal Trade Commission at www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov

It's very frightening that once a company has your account information, they basically have free reign over your money.
