Snap! Finacial represents its self at 90 days same as cash option. What they do not disclose is the interest rate if you do not pay within the 90 days. I purchased a couch for 1049.00 and made a 300.00  payment in January  I had a very nice person call me to welcome me and let me know that my 90 days would be up on February 28th. I then asked him if you are not able to pay the total by the due date what happens. He told me that it what automatically default into payments. I then asked him can I pay it off at anytime and he certainly.

Then he made arrangements wtith me to deduct payments of $100.00 twice a month on the first and fiftenth. Therefore, I paid 200.00 a month for February, March , April and May. I called Customer Sevice on 5/15 to see how much I owed so I could just pay it off and close the account. The lady I spoke to was very defensive and started telling me that I owed payments until 11/2017 for $200.00 per the contract. First of all I never signed a contract stating I would pay $2000.00 for an amount that I had already paid $1100.00 for.

I asked her what the interest rate was and she just kept saying you signed the contract, she would not give me an anwer. Then she proceeded to say she would discount the amount if I paid $529.00 on 5/15/17 that was still owed i could close my account. I am fortuante that I was able too but I am sure most can't.

I would never advise anyone to use this service they prey on people who need furniture and appliances and hold them hostage. I can't imagine what happens to someone who makes the minimum payment. I honestly think these practices should be disclosed and illustrated if needed. Their reubuttal was "oh I am sorry the furnture store did not explain that the couch was 4000.00....

If you are not going to pay your purchse in 90 days-- please heed my advise. DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH SNAP! FINANCE. They are unscrupulous crooks that prey on poor people. I have filed a complaint with the government.

What You're Saying Is...

AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, May 17, 2017

It was YOU who failed to abide by the terms of the 90 day SAC promotion. If YOU are that "poor" YOU cannot pay YOUR bills, perhaps YOU should not have made the purchase. Neither YOU nor any of the "poor" people are ENTITLED to things they don't pay for. Of course, we all know ENTITLEMENT is the very typical welfare mindset and no, I don't work for them!
