I joined this particular gym back in August 2006, if memory serves correctly, because of the convenience of 24 hour access. The nearest one to my house and my work was the club in Prior Lake, which conveniently was five dollars more a month than any other Snap Fitness in the area.

I was happy with the club but not the distance from my home, I was going after work until due to construction the road from work to the area the place is located in was closed down. A similar place, Anytime Fitness, opened in the town I live in so I went to talk to them. They are all connected in that you can get into any gym after a month of membership, Snap fitness is all separate and you can only go to your gym.

I then canceled via e-mail on Nov. 11th, and then also sent a letter on Dec. 5th to the club. When I signed up I was told that they needed 30 days written notice, which I gave them. Then on January 1, 2007 they deducted the club fees from my account.

I called the club and left a message for them to call me, waited 2 days and didn't hear anything so I sent them an e-mail, I received a call much faster, but he hadn't heard my voicemail. He said that I had to use the snap fitness cancellation forms to cancel my account, I asked him to send it to me.

The next day he heard my voicemail and called me back, he didn't realize he was talking to the same person, and he said that what I had sent him was fine, as in my letter and e-mail. He supposedly canceled my account and credited me back my money. Then in February on the 1st, the fees were deducted again so I was irate, but still calmly called the club to see what's going on, again no answer left a message, in which I clearly stated when I could be reached.

My call was returned the next day, while I was at work and not in the times I specified in the message, and a new manager, not the same person I had talked to said that he cancelled my account and needs confirmation that I had talked to the previous manager and should receive this month refunded as well. Since then I have heard nothing from the new manager.

I called Snap Fitness Corporate in March when I was fed up with waiting for the manager to take care of it, and calmly talked to the person they connected me with there, this person said that they would take 24 hours and someone would get back to me. It has been over a week and I have heard nothing from them nor have I received my money. Stay away from this company!!!
