Sneaky Pete Holsters Sneaky Pete We ordered holster and holster is defective, pistol will not fit holster. I contacted customer service five times to no response. Company does not have a working phone number. All I wanted is service and a holster that my piston will fit. Brookhaven New York

I ordered holster on line and reviews were all great. Received holster and my pistol will not fit holster. Defective holster is obvious. After five e-mails no response from company and it has been 6 days, no working phone number as well. Sixty dollars later with a product that can not be used.

Sneaky Pete's Holsters

Yesterday, I posted the above details of a very unpleasant interaction with this company. As soon as I posted, the company rebutted my comments with a cut and paste response that seems to appear after every report on this site so someone is obviously monitoring these complaint sites!

Both my husband and son also immediately received e mails from Sneaky Pete, claiming they had attempted to reach both over last few weeks to effect a refund/exchange of the holster ordered, and directed my husband to return the item and a refund would appear on my son's credit card within 5-7 business days. Package was mailed with signature receipt request on 7/2.

Will wait and see what happens.

Such a shame this company puts so much effort into monitoring complaint sites and not enough responding directly to customers!

Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company!

They only respond to orders not return/exchange requests as noted by complaint above and several others on numerous consumer sites. Thus their "F" rating with the BBB I assume!

My son purchased a $60.00+ holster for my husband for Father's Day, Order # 291528, shipped on 6/18, and received on 6/23.

Despite a notation on the attached receipt stating: "For fit issues, exchanges or refunds within 30 days, please use the Contact Us button on our website. We're anxious to help and try to respond to customers within 24 hours (usually less). There is also a Frequently Asked Questions section on our website for further help,"

and 3 immediate attempts to contact this company to effect said exchange on my son's behalf, there have been NO RESPONSE WHATSOEVER from Sneaky Pete.

I firmly believe the company is attempting to run out the clock on the 30 day return policy as the order date was 6/15 and we are now at 7/1!

Their response to the complaint on this site, that they receive an overabundance of e mails everyday, or perhaps, customers are lying about their attempts to contact the company at all are ludicrious!

If you cannot handle the only method of communication you provide-e mail (there is not phone # associated with this company), then you need to HIRE MORE STAFF. 

You claim to offer returns/exchanges, honor that promise by actually getting back to your customers and not calling them liars when they attempt to reach you!

Family owned business my foot!

"Sneaky Pete Business Practices" would be a more appropriate name for this incredibly mismanaged company. Too many legitimate companies out there selling good product to put up with this overt lack of customer service!

As indicated at top of post, save yourself a ton of aggravation and stay away from this company!

By all means, please respond to me as well, as I would love to hear the spin you put on this complaint.

As Sneaky Pete stated, there must be an unforeseen problem at to why they didn't respond to the customer's complaint. I ordered a Holster in 2013 and a Magazine Protector in 2017.  There was a slight problem with the Magazine Protector and after emailing them, they sent me another protector and told me to keep the original.  You don't find many businesses who would do that.  I ordered another protector last night and it is shipping today.  SUPER FAST SERVICE.

I can understand why they don't post a phone number.  As a former business manager, I know that employees don't come cheap.  And, if you can perform the same service with fewer personnel via email, so much the better.

When emailing Sneaky Pete, they have always responded in a reasonable length of time -- even during the recent Winter Storm that shut down much of the Gulf and East Coasts.  They apparently have personnel working in their homes after hours to handle emails.

Their products are of excellent quaility, both in material and workmanship.  Email operators are extremely cordial, even when I've pestered them with seemingly unimportant questions.

 

I AIN'T GETTIN' PAID FOR THESE COMMENTS -- JUST DON'T LIKE A GOOD COMPANY GETTIN' A BAD RAP.  NOT MANY OWNERS WOULD TAKE THE TIME TO GIVE SUCH A LENGTHY EXPLAINATION.

This "Ripoff Report" site was brought to our attention and we would like to respond in order to help anyone that has not been able to get in touch with us.

As we state on our website we do not offer a phone service but please do not mistake that for not wanting to help. We respond to hundreds of email daily via our website and rest assure we do not ignore anyone.

If you did not receive a response via email it is due to us not receiving your email or our response is stuck in your spam filter.

 OR  you did not email us to begin with and in that case we naturally would not know you needed help.

 

 Let me share how we operate our business. 

We sell our products online only, we do not offer a store front business and like I mentioned before we do not offer a phone service. All our customer support is via email. 

 

Our Focus and Priority is;

* To ship fast (with little or no delays if we can help it! )

* To correspond with our customers and help with any and all concerns and questions. including returns and exchanges.

 

In order to stay in business we have chosen to operate this way. Much like most other online businesses, this is normal practice by today's standard. 

We do understand that not everyone agrees but it is our choice. and again please do not mistake that for not wanting to help, we are both happy and eager to help  via email !

Our products are not generic but made specifically for each make, model and configuration exactly as we have them are listed and pictured on our website.

Sure, we are humans and regardless of how careful we are when we prepare your order we can make a mistake. However 98 % of any returns and exchanges are due to an order being placed incorrectly. 

We have absolutely no problem with accepting returns or helping with an exchange.

99.9 of our customers are kind and wonderful fellow Americans with a very small exception of people who are mean and abusive, your hair would stand up if you had to read the words from that small minority of humans. We will not accept abuse, no one should have to,  but even in the worst of circumstances have we ever been rude or unhelpful even so.
