I received the 'buy one get one free' Snuggie with free book light email offer. I placed an order of two blankets. After I put in my credit card information, it ended with a page telling me that my order was completed without me authorizng the amount of the charge.

Guess what is the total? $132.55. They charged $47.70 for shipping. I know something is not right. The web said the shipping is $7.90. I looked for their customer service, email address, phone number..... They are not visible on the web page. They do not have an email address for you. Later I went through loops and hoops and found their phone number. But no one ever picked up the phone.

Then I received a "thank you for your order email" from "no-reply@freesnuggie.com". you can't reply and tell them that the amount is not right or you want to cancel your order.

I thought that this is fishy. A company does not have a visible customer service link or a phone number on the web site. and they use an email address that you cannot reply. They are avoiding all contacts from customers. What kind of company will do such a thing???

Although it said no-reply, I send a cancellation request to both the "no-reply@freesnuggie.com" and the "Snuggie As Seen On TV" (from this address the promotional email was sent to me). I officially cancel my order in writing. I want to have an official cancellation record. and hopefully the promotional email address will also receive my cancellation. If not, that's their problem, they will have to explain to the judge why they block customers contacts. I am not paying for a dime to them for their scam.

So I searched the web and found many complaints and rib off reports against Snuggie. I called my credit card company immediately and requested to cancel my credit card. I will received a replacement card in two days. They also put a note for the credit card billing department not to authorize payment to Snuggie.

I know I could wait until I get the charges posted, return the blankets (if I ever received them, some people said they never receive them), and then try to get a refund. Honestly, knowing that this is a rib off company, I do not want to go through the headache. They did everything they can to avoid contacts. What makes I believed that I can find them to refund me?? Even if I did find them, they could say that the $47.70 shipping and handling is not refundable. I still lose money. I do not want to do business with companies that will charge my card without an authorization on the amount from me. They did it on purpose to rib off consumers. Beware!!!

Contact your credit card company and get a dispute form sent to you. Fill out the dispute form and send it in. With-in 30 to 90 days you will receive a refund through your credit card company. I am surprised the credit card company did not tell you this when you called them the first time and had your card cancelled and a new one issued. The entire amount will be refunded through the credit card company.
