It seems that the original poster and all of the rest of the people writing on this report missed the fact that Social Security and Disability benefits will get a 3.6% cost of living raise in January. I guess they were all too busy blaming Obama for all of their troubles, as usual.

The people on this site says.   If you receive social security disability you're not allowed to post complaints if you have been done wrong.  But social security does encourage people who are on disability to find work. 



But if you don't have much work experince.  The only jobs that are available are minimum wage jobs. Which minimum wage is $7.25 for working 8 hours.

What are you receiving SSI for?

Um you people realize that the President and Congress don't control SS benefit increases right? its contolled by a formula tied to inflation. Always has been, always will be. If there is no inflation, there is no increase. Even if the President wanted to increase the amount he couldn't without an act of Congress, which wouldn't or couldn't happen.

This is not the correct forum to give a digg at the president. You are not entitled to a cost of living increase just like no one else is entitled to a raise on our jobs.

The same folks who push big business as the way to make America better are the same folks who don't believe in giving a dime to folks on any type of entitlement program such as SSI, SSDI, or social secuirty retirement. Our current president does not sit on that side of the fence. Therefore your comments are not only contradictory but just plain confusing.

With a 9.8% unemployment rate (with the actual rate floating about 17%) you should be gratefuly you have check at all. So please stop complaining and go do something constructive. This site is for people who have actually been ripped off. And you can't get ripped off when it was not promised to you to begin with.

To sum it all up, the bankers (Federal Reserve) have been managing the U.S. government for the past 97 years and they've made BIG mistakes. They now want their money. The money isn't there, so they are going to get it from the average American like you and me, in my opinion.

That's why social security will not be available for millions of people in America in the years ahead.
