Social Security Denied ripoff distortion of the truth exploitation of injured workers GLEN BURNIE Maryland

Social Security has denied me compensation for my asthma injuries. I was also denied workers compensation because my employeer played games with suspensions and firings. Remember there wasn't anyone I could turn to find out what I was going through, no reports, no internet, no knowledge in the library to help pin down my asthma. Where do you sign up for a travel guide to take you through the process and get something done about it? I still haven't got a clue.

I was lost and dumb founded by the whole process of finding government unwilling and unable to help me out after doing so much for my country including volunteering for Viet Nam and being the crew chief incharge of a red alert when Iran kicked out our detachment. We took our F-4's to Iran for painting, and in return we trained their pilots at Langely AFB. For all our troubles they crashed a 747 in Madrid while I was on duty with the 401st. What have you done?

Lawyers are unwilling to do the math! Doctors unwilling to explain my pain. Family and friends who are as lost as I am to deal with this experience. Books, writers and even asthma forums are unwilling to tell the truth. The asthma experience becomes not shared, but a once in a life time, a one of a kind not shared with anyone. Asthma forums would rather kick me out than find me help. Most drug stores posting asthma forums are afraid if people are allowed to tell the truth about occupational diseases that small business people will avoid using them. They'd rather take their chances riddening me of the system then to take a chance of putting off the masses. No there still are not any real asthma forums on the net, nor word of asthma in the media news. It's a scam job by everyone involved in making sure money is king over saving lives. Take another hard look around! What do you see? A sinking US economy, a global war over oil and money? Well nothings come along better yet to fight for, certainly not my life nor yours or President Kennadys for that matter.

My employeer intentionall tried to murder me by suspending me for 6 months. My employeer was talking about bringing me back even after I explained the poisoning. There were people running around the new shop poisoning people by creating a fountain of freon under the hood. The carburator air cleaner was removed for A/C installation making it easy to convert such a liquid to phosgene gas, burning and exhausting the freon. Either you knew it was poison or you didn't. And if you walked to the rear of the vehicle like I did you got asthma.

In my case one employee actutally yelled fire, so naturally I bent down to smell the exhaust. And so the shoe fit me right! What with me wearing my new fire department cap, and in training as a volunteer. One guy had actually said he'd get me on his first day of work to which he owned up too a year later. His thinking of course, I'd be in his way not knowing and not educated on the problem of phosgene gas by Crown Port Service nor Toyota USA or schooling. All of the above who must've gased at least a couple hundred people or more over the course of ten years. To me public safety has alwasy come first, but like bugging people, what with the KKK, anything seems to go in this crummy country. Asthma is death, and this state owned and created work shop was a full fledged and functioning gas chamber for 10 years or more. Taking many of us to early graves and crippling many more forever. Cheating us out of our place in society as fully active members or contributers. We asthmatics are constantly reminded of the cruelety's of war, and the injustice and inhumain way of treatment by our very own government. A system that spreads the spoils to the fighters, not the victims.

I can't breath on my own now. Not without Advair. My doctor said I could end up in an oxygen tent for life if I keep getting poisoned. I was ordered to quit working at Kencott Copper Refinery 3 months after quitting Crown Port Service. I was broke and lost not knowing what was inside of me causing me to choke and feel sick. The fire department next tried to finish me off hiring me for 3 months exacerbating my asthma. The fire engine smoke kicked off the migraines to my knowledge.

Well what's the point in my adding it all up? How am I suppose to actually know what's going on? Was it the stress and strain of working causing the migraines, was it because Advair killed my bodies ability to fight such headaches, or did I get what many harbour tunnel workers come down with from carbon monixide poisoning? My doctor only fixes problems, not investigates them.

Show me someone, anyone who does investigative work of this nature? My doctor had to put me on pain killers as I came down with migraines for the next ten years after the phosgene gas poisoning, suffering from migraines on a daily bases.

I'm talking about being dead to the world and a federal government that's saying tough luck soldier, you applied for it. I tried getting back on my feet. I tried harder than David Letterman ever tried in his entire life time. I gave a bigger effort to get back up on my feet from my asthma than any man alive ever has. How do I know that you ask? Because I was the marathon man! And although short lived, I worked hard at rehabing myself running daily. First 20 feet, then another 30 feet, day by day adding distance, speed, enduring the pain, using pain killers of course. Before my condition had a chance to cause me to over eat I ran a good 5 miles at first. Running past my doctors office as if to say why are you making me quit? The asthma next did something I didn't expect, it got worse. Did someone drive by me and skunk me again while out running on the road? Anythings possible! I was putting on weight that much I could see. And then would drag me down in the end gaining nearly 150 pounds more then I had been.

Certainly I tried to avoid fumes at this point. So after the fire department I started back running at a nearby county park. It was much harder running the 6 months after working then directly following the asthma and pneumonia, so I figured the fire department finished me off. If I missed a day of running it set me back to starting all over again, building one step at a time. I spent a year at it, but finally gave up getting the flu or a cold every time I got going. All this gave way to complusive over eating, and a fat laid back american way of life. I'm no good with spell checker, or containing the subject, so this report is bound to be scrambled eggs at best.

I live in a community with alot of harassing small business people. As one teamster put it, they can bug you out of your mind if they feel like it.

I was stalked to Little League games and harassed and pressured by neighbors to forget and confuse my way after getting sick. I am still stalked by mall security guards, by store employees, and neighbors who constantly tongue lash, and file false charges against me among the many other things like busting my water main and screwing up my cars. Local police like to respond "you still don't have a case or witnesses".

It's a lot like being on your death bed having asthma, feeling extremely sick all the time and needing pain killers to get by. I can't stand being choked off, and I refuse to be abused in this matter on the job. At 50 I just represent another possible law suit to most. Another rip out of small business investment moneies as the community, work place, and government refuse to help sick people out. It's all about acting like Tom Slick for government workers, cheating and ripping off sick workers because it balances the books. Most government workers are getting away with whatever they can, running over crippled people, to save money, to gain a promotion.

Add to this a hateful and painful community and it's been impossible to stay focused on getting any help. I've also been prescribed medicine for ADD. Ones just as bad as the other, living here, trying to stay focused, and dealing with my asthma.

And then there's that venomous President George Bush, that no good, well I'll save a hot seat for him. Cloning and stem cell research is my only hope in life, and we all know how the president feels about that!

I was never able to pick up and go again after the asthma injury. I can't count on my lungs to do repetitious work on a daily regiment. I'm good at picking up and moving on the spur of the movement, but if I am made to comtemplate a choir on a daily bases I become asthmatic. It's like internal friction, it just keeps buidling up. And of course given a few years to sitting on my butt my asthma had a chance to become the much feared disease it is and righfully so.

After 15 years I don't see much choice, or how I could've made changes to effect a better out come. No "if's or maybes" of my treatment of asthma, it's simply a crippling disorder of the lungs. And I've tried my best to deal with it getting set back time after time further and further. Like the phen-fen my doctor prescribed giving me bad heart pains and causing me to quit using my tread mill. Not to mention the swelling in my feet and legs.

And then there are those in the community who'll read this and go out of their way to smoke me some more, for sure. You can't beat choking to death on your own throat phlem, puss, and cold complications for a way out of this world.

Did I not work at Crown Port Service for 5 years? Did I not work in a place that everybody filed for help from? Was there anyway of my knowing what I was getting into before hand? is this not a one way street? Surely you've driven down them before.

Asthma medication doesn't just suck, but it's as backwards an approach to medicine as one could envision. Meaning killing your bodies natural healing abilities is as stupid an approach to healing the body, and is as remotely insane as it can be. For instance: it's flu season, cold season, and using Advair lowers my bodies resistenance to such sicknesses. Therefore I catch every sickness going around, and it takes me 3 to 4 times as long to heal from such viruses. So if I were to work I'd be out of work most of the winter. And I'd be out of work if I were to try working on a daily bases because my body resists and becomes asthmatic too constant stress. I can't work! There should've never been any question in my doctors mind. Questions led to screwing me out of any compensation due me. I thought I still could become the marathon man again, and of course my doctor knew from the get go I was a "has been". One Doctor advised me to give it up, and another said we never say die.

Why couldn't the doctor tell me what was going on so that I could seek out a lawyer to help me? The doctor heard my wheezing and knew without question I was a goner.

One of the big problems I'm having in getting any help is my education level. I would'nt have volunteered for Viet Nam had I been a bright student or not hooked 30 days a year in HS. I feel like I've been made into something I'm not like a writer here.

Then there is also a 3 year limitation law in filing a lawsuit against industrial poisonings, especially those that are causing asthma. The 3 year industrial poisoning law is totally hog wash protecting small businesses. Doctors can get chased out of business with law suits. And teachers are quitting after sexual charges are placed against them. Somebodies done a real bang up job against the small working joe in this country. The federal government has denied me any and all human rights.

Why isn't there a test adminstered to asthmatics to determine the extent of injury? Because nobody wants to pay them off including government. It's a one way street in America.

I don't know how else to attack this situation other than write about it and make it as real as possible to me. I'm dealing with winter colds like everybody else minus my body's natural defenses making it ten times worse. I can't believe this country can't do better, I demand this country educate workers on hazardous materials. I demand better treatment by government. And I won't ever settle for what's been done to me, not for any reason. If i win the jack pot tonight, not ten million dollars won't change the way I feel, the suffering I am made to bare, or the pain I feel all over my body as I grow older feeling every minute of it going by in agony. It's like I've been shot in the chest, and I struggling with a healing process that never mends. I can't believe the filthy way this government has responded to lung diseases as if choking to death is a clever way out.

There should never have been a tobacco buy out, just a clean swift axing, and general cleanup and repairing of a system causing terminal lung diseases.
