First off this company has their heads up their as@#s. They send the dj the info on the client a day and half before the event, what the h*ll!!! Then they expect you to still get the event done perfectly, what the fu@k!!! Well you might just get it done, if all the info you got was right, but it's not, wrong song list, wrong wedding party list, wrong dj equipment list, bla, bla, bla.

I contacted the client to confirm the info, and it was mostly wrong. I told the client that there's not enough time for me to get this all ready by the next day, the client then told me that they had paid for this 1 year in advance. I was shocked, 1 year in advance, what did sold gold sound do with the client's paper work, throw it in a corner somewhere, or swept it under a rug. Have you guys ever herd of a filing cabinet?

So i felt sorry for the client, being that it's a special day for them, and said that i will be there, and do my best for them with such short notice. The client emailed me the right song list, the right equipment, wedding party list, and how they wanted things to go. I told the client to please don't get mad at me, if i make a mistake, the client told me it's ok, and that they were glad that they have a dj still comming, and not having to put a boombox in the corner for music.

So the day of event i showed up, set up my equipment, and played. everything was going fine until i had to announce all of the bridal party, there was 24 people that had to be announced as they entered, and a different song had to play to each group, i even had to make a remix song for one group, needless to say i was nervous, and also tired, trying to get everything ready the night before, and i normaly pratice 1 week in advance for announcements, not 12 hours. I made the announcements for each group, and i was doing well until i got to the 21 and 22 person, and screwed up. I ended up skiping them, i felt awfull. But everything else went on as planed.

The event was for 6 hours, and i played for 6 hours, and was to be paid $240.00 that is what Ron at solid gold sound told me that is what i'll be paid including travel, which is ridiculous. Well i emailed solid gold sound for my payment at (ineedpaid@ymail.com) that night when i got home. Ron told me in a previous phone conversation, that my check will arrive in about 4 to 5 days after i email them through (ineedpaid@ymail.com)

well 5 days passed, and no check, and in 1 day i was to do another event for them, but still didn't have the paper work for the event yet. So i called them at 1-800-333-2208 and asked if Ron was there, and said no he isn't, so i asked who am i speaking with, and this guy said (this is his assistant) so then i told him my name, and wanted to know about my check. This guy told me that i'm not getting paid because i screwed up at the wedding.

i said that i know that i screwed up, but can i get some compesation, for the drive there, and for some of the time, he said (you get nothing). So then i hung up the phone, i was mad, upset, and imediately emailed them saying (i quit). It was a matter of 5 minutes, and Ron called me to ask what was wrong, why am i quiting, and told him why, and he told me i will still get paid, well it's been over a month and half and nothing.

Do not work for this company, they take money from clients, and at the last minute try to find a dj to fill the position and send you screwed up paper work, they don't care about the client, or the dj. They pay crapy money to dj's, and that's if you even get paid. Based on what i've seen they just do paper work, and they can't even get that right, and the dj does all the work for pennies, thats bull.

Example $695.00 for 6 hours and the dj gets $200.00 or maybe $225.00 . What did they do huh? screwed up paper work, passing the buck, pressing a*s all day, and picking up the phone when they feel like it. Well in my own opion, they should get the $200 or $225, and the dj gets the rest, that would be about right.

I agree with Mark lakewood, Colorado

Don't feel bad, I did my weddings perfect and haven't been paid.

Yes, I did my weddings perfect. It's almost been 3 months. Not one cent, no phone call, no payment. These guys truly suck. I'm out $1,000. It would have been $1,250 but I told them I wasn't going to do another wedding until I was paid. Instead of paying a good dj what he was rightfully owed, they just gave it to someone else so they could screw them also. Eventually, they will run out of suckers and be out of business.

I did about 8 weddings for these guys and my paperwork wasn't correct once. So you are not alone.
