Sonobello Scottsdale AZ Dr. Gibney, Dana Office Manager Botched Liposuction, Buyer Beware, Rip Off Scottsdale, Arizona

 I had my lipo surgery done in July of 2011. I had checked out a few of the lipo procedures and I heard about Sonobello from a lady at a spa I had gone for a pedicure. My husband and I met with a Tanya who stated she was finishing medical school and was authorized to complete the initial assessment.

I was not over weight but wanted to get rid of saddle bags and fat along my tummy area. Tanya gave us a hard sell and when we wanted to think about it she stated the offer was only good until we left the offic

Tanya also convinced us that in order for everything to balance out that I needed to have upper and lower abs, sides, hips and thighs. Tanya stated that my stomach would flatten and so my husband and I filled out the paperwork.

I was scheduled a month out and a week before the surgery I had a kidney infection. When I went in for the pre op and told Dr. Gibney I thought I should wait as I was getting over a kidney infection he told me " Your lipo suction has nothing to do with that you will be fine".

I had the surgery and I was so very ill. I was not up and running in three days as I had been told. It took more like three months. I was in severe pain and I had lumps and broken blood vessels all over my stomach area and numbing. I was lopsided on my abdomen as my left side more was taken then the right. I called and told them I needed to see Dr. Gibney and told the office staff including Dana what was occurring and that I was in so much pain I couldnt go to work.

Dana assured me this was normal and I needed to wait until my next appointment. Things did not improve and everytime I called I was put off or when I showed up for an appointment I was given someone in a white coat who knew nothing but could see I was damaged. I called and wanted to see the doctor because of the broken blood vessels on my stomach, the pain and the fact that I had lge areas on my hips which were mishapen and my lopsided stomach. Each time I have gone in to see a doctor they tell me " You should have requested him at which I tell them I did" 

On January 19,2012,  I went in for my sixth mth appointment again expecting to see a Doctor as I had called and stated to Dana that I had no resolve. I was greeted by a young lady who stated " You should have asked to see a Doctor and again I told her I had requested one; I told her look at me I have lge gaps on my hips, and lopsided on my abdomen she agreed that she saw this and took pictures of my body".

I asked the young lady how long she had been working for Sonobello and she stated "Two weeks". I asked to see my records and we sat and went through them together page by page. I noted to her that my before pictures were missing as was documentation of my calls and documentation of what I had asked or stated about my problems.

I told the young lady that I wanted to see the manager or speak to Dr.Gibney. I told the young lady that I wanted a copy of my records that day and she directed me to go back into the waiting room and the receptionist would assist me. The receptionist told me she could not release the records because Dana the manager was not in that day. I signed release of information forms and asked for a callback which I was assured would happen.

After ten phone calls and two months later I phoned in and Dana answered the phone. I repeated to her what I have stated herein and that I would be seeking legal counsel. Dana assured me that she would take care of things and insisted I come in for an appointment to see another doctor. I told her I was resistant to letting anyone else from Sonobello performing any medical procedures on me.

Dana insisted that I come in and if I wasn't happy we could talk about other options. Two days before my appointment I was called by someone to verify the appointment. I asked if the Doctor would be present they stated Dana would see me. I asked for another appointment on Saturday because my husband wanted to be present and both of us wanted to see a doctor.

The girl put me on hold and then came back on the line and told me Dana cant approve it because she doesn't work on Saturdays and she states she has to be at the appointment. I was then told that Dana would call me back which of course she did not return my call.

I then called back the next day and asked for the name of the District Manager which of course they wouldn't give me the name but said they would have the District Manager return my call. I again called a week later and called again stating I had not heard from anyone and now one month later I have had no calls and no relief. I would caution anyone considering Sonobello to look elsewhere and save yourself grief.
