just here to say dont buy a car from Sonshine motors in fort walton beach fl. I went in to buy a car so i can get to work and i put 700 dollars down and i had the vehicle about a week in a half and my due date was before i got paid and tried to call many times and left a lot of massages and they said they never got them then they called me and told me to bring my vehicle in or they would report it stolen

so i took my vehicle up there and they said when i got paid i could come back and get my truck back so when i got paid i went back to get my vehicle back. They said i needed to pay double the amount due because the finance company said that is what they wanted. so i asked for the number to finance company they told me no that i couldnt have it. so i said ok and left and went to the police station and talked to the detective and told him what was going on and the detective told me that i had grounds to take them to court and to get a lawer.

Speaking to the owner

AUTHOR: emgygi - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, April 08, 2014

It is not as easy to just speak to the actual owner in charge who might actually help you. They will not let you speak to him. I was told yesterday that they were in the wrong with my situation and there was a miscommunication on their end and yet still are going to have me pay $922.00 to get my truck back after it was wrongfully repossessed for being 1 day late (to my knowledge) I called to double check i didnt have a payment due for march because i had paid in advanced (2nd time doing that) and the lady on the phone verified my information and said i was paid up until April 5th. The repossessed my truck Monday April 7th which to my knowledge I was only 1 business day late. My husband gets off work at 5pm which they know... and was headed up there to make our payment. She even said she made a note in my account and everything. So wrong and i would like to get it cleared up.

Lady, or man whatever you are.... Have you ever called or went up there and asked to speak with the manager or owner, seriously, that may help you! Talk to Hannah she has helped me so much. She's the general manager of the whole store. Just explain to her your concerns.....you might be surprised.

WELL......

now i dont them personally but they do apparently claim to be christian.... hmm.. well ill tell you what i believe that those people at sunshine motors are liars and are VERY greedy people ok FIRST OF ALL me and my husband have no credit, so we had no choice but to go to sonshine motors 1 the car was WWAAAYY over priced for its worth, 2 the owner told my husband 'if you have problems with making a payment i understand you have a family and if you need some help call me and we will figure something out. SOOO... i had my child and was out of work for a few weeks and we were tight on money well my husband called them and tried to explain the situation and they freaked out on him and said if he didnt come make a payment they were going to call the cops and report the car stolen. Now before you get all snooty and stuff and say something, me and my husband gave our payments on time EVERYTIME okay, and we never called them with problems matter of fact they called us everyday on payday at 6 am and every hour after that EVERY hour. even when we told them we were on the way to make a payment the other person would call and every time i walked into the building to make a payment.... it was someone new.. and they had no idea what was going on.. AND we are almost done with them and the car already needs a new fuel pump and other stuff done to the engine.. but theres WAY more they have been rude to us and we havent seen the owner just some high school girls and stuff running the place they say that your job is your credit and my husband has been at his job for 11 years and still they treated us like crap they said they put in all new fluids when we got the car there was barley any oil or power steering fluid in the car.. NOT ONLY THAT but when I went to make a payment everytime I had to check behind the girls because they got balances wrong twice and i had to keep coming back so they could fix it and they had calculators right in front of them. i dont know about those people it doesnt matter how many cars you sell you are bad at customer service and helping people YOU JUST WANT MONEY a business is more then that and i like the cars up there and would love to go back but i just dont want to go through the same crap again they were very mean to me on christmas when i was tight on money trying to get a good christmas for my children... i just hated walking in that day and hearing the young man talk about God and how christian he was and his faith is strong and im just thinking and you treat people who are trying to make a living like money trees kick them till the money falls out..

Customer of sonshine/ all okay

AUTHOR: Sandy - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, June 22, 2012

i also live in santa rosa beach and purchased a 2005 chevy malibu from them almost 6 months ago, a couple weeks after i had to car i needed a motor mount replaced and they told me to fix it and they would give me credit on the balance on my vehicle with them. i never had no trouble from them, anytime i have to be late they do charge me a late fee but always allow it, i also started going to church where the owner goes and he is a good man. i think people should buy cars from them and talk with them when they have serious situations, if they just go and sit down with them face to face they help out for the most part.

"left a lot of massages"

They probably prefer cash instead of massages.

First Payment Default

AUTHOR: Sonshine Motors, LLC - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, April 09, 2012

We are sorry you had a bad experience with us. Sonshine Motors tries their best to make everyone happy but that just will not happen when we sell so many cars you simply cannot please everyone. If you sign a contract to make a payment on a certain date, and you dont that is called PAYMENT DEFAULT. Therefore if the contract says your contract can be terminated or vehicle picked up, unfortunately that is most likely going to happen. It is nothing personal to anybody but that is business. We see it as "If you cant make your first payment, you probably wont make your last". For some people that is true and for some It isnt. All the legal paperwork was in place and signed correctly. Once again we are sorry you had an issue.
