This is ridiculous, I received a notice in the mail today from Southbay Expressway stating that I evaded to pay my toll fee of $2.50. Which is ridiculous I have taken that toll a total of 5 times and have paid every single time with statements to prove it. On this particular day, there is no way that I could have been in that area and I have receipts to prove it. They state they can not accept these receipts and want me to pay $60.00 Penalty fee by November 11th and if it is not paid by then I will have to pay $102.00. Why is it impossible to review the cameras that they have at these booths??? They give you no real location but a location number that you are unable to even view on their site. They claim if no payment is received by December 5, 2012 the will put my DMV registration on hold. I WOULD LIKE THEM TO REVIEW THE TAPES AT THE TIME THEY ARE CITING ME FOR, IF THEY DON'T HAVE THE APPROPRIATE STAFF BECAUSE THEY ARE OVERWHELMED BY THE AMOUNT OF FAKE AND I SAY "FAKE" NOTICES THEY ARE HANDING OUT-THEY SHOULD REVIEW IT BEFORE THEY ACTUALLY SEND THESE OUT! This toll has been available for my use for at least 2 years, I have not taken it up until September of this year and have paid every single time!!!

We understand your frustration and have spent some time reviewing your case to see how we could help. Our records indicate you contacted our Customer Service Center twice on 10/25/2012. During that call you requested images of the violation which were sent to the e-mail address you requested. During those calls, we re-reviewed the image of the license plate to be sure there were no errors made in reading the plate. The violation sent to you as the registered owner of the vehicle is dated 10/11/2012 at 5:58pm and the license plate in the image was not misread.
 
If you were lost and did not intend to use the toll road, you would qualify for a one-time courtesy reduction in the charge to $12 since our records do not indicate youve ever received a violation notice from us before. We will notate the account of the reduced toll and penalty amount and ask that you mail in a payment or contact us directly to pay the reduced amount before November 11, 2012. We do apologize, but this is the best resolution we can offer you since there was no mistake in reading the license plate which did take a trip on South Bay Expressway on the date and time referenced above.  If you have any further questions, please feel free to email us directly at ceo@sbexpress.com.

Called Customer Service & no real assistance

This is no real customer service when you call the number they continue to accuse you of the violation when I tell her there is no way my van could have been there at that time I badged into my work parking lot which I work for children's hospital way out in Kearny Mesa.... Preposterous! Citation: C118416254
