This is a public service announcement:
Do not sign on the dotted line until you read this!!  This school assigns its contracts (which are called retail installment contracts) to a third party and gets paid some of the money up front from them.  The third party (Performance Equity Partners) conducts a credit check on you and it appears on your credit report like a loan!  You don't have a contract with the school, it's with this Performance Equity Partner company!!  The school owner "assigns" the contract to them.  The only way to get out of said contract is by moving 25 miles away OR if your child has some medical condition that can be proved with a doctors note.  NONE of this is stated anywhere in the contract or told to you when you are signing up!!

READ everything before you sign!  Ask questions before you sign!  Know that Florida has a 3 day "cooling off rule"per the Florida attorney generals website under consumer protection-"In Florida, if you contract for services to be rendered in the future on a continuing basis, you are entitled to a three day cooling-off period.  You are also entitled to cancel a contract for future services if you can no longer physically receive the services, or the services are no longer available as originally offered."  Also the contract is for 3 full years!  If you can not commit to that then I would suggest trying to find a place that does month to month tuition otherwise you will be STUCK paying even if you quit!!

Remember, NEVER sign a contract unless you are SURE of what you are getting yourself into!  Don't be a statistic like me!

Something to keep in mind

Did you look at their business license or if they're required to have one and any complaints online and with BBB etc??

1. Are the instructors certified?

2. Is the school an accredited school (if you ask and they say what does that mean run for the door)

3. Is the school part of a National Organization (a governing body with rules and regulations)

First of all who are suppose to be the ones doing the accrediting?

If you have a complaint with an owner or employee and both know already whats going on, what good is it gonna do if you go to the other who's either a friend or relative or gets paid the big bucks by the employer?? lol

You have to go outside the "school" to get opinions and business licensing are only going to tell you if theyre licensed and maybe if they have complaints and BBB are just mediators

Are you going to go to China to get the approval?

There is no governing body in the industry of martial arts for ANYONE and there is rampant scamming and thuggery going on for decades and its a small world so the ones making the big stinks are most likely going to be friends with others who are influential and helping them etc etc

SOOOOO whats the alternative??

Each member certificate has a number and signed by the highest ranking authority at your school or the most senior member (s) of your system. This is how is been done with Kyokushinkai for years. There are many schools that have separated from the parent and still teaches that same system. Separation over political ideals.

It's not that easy. Watch the form. Does it make sense? Will it work? Why does he teach it like this?

Being part of an organization doesnt necessarily mean youre legit
Isiness...people are scrambling to do anything they can to make themselves bigger than they really are

Just ask Al Goldberg and Dan Hect and Eric Kovaleski or better yet Master Alfredo Torella and Soke Frank Sanchez of the World Head of Sokeship Council

From a California lawyer and martial arts instructor:
We have this concept that when we deal with martial artists, we should expect elevated levels of honor and respect. In a great many cases, that's true. But I've found over the decades that martial artists are basically just people. Some of them have taken the honor aspects to heart, and others have not. Pretty much like anything else. Same with people of faith, pretty much any faith. Some have taken the standards of their faith to heart, and others have not. In short, people are people. That means there are good ones and bad ones everywhere.

If theres fraud involved with hardcore evidence and not just hearsay

Continuing any further

Hi there folks
I am the one that is going to help you bring down these punks but we need you to do a few things

First of all understand that statute of limitations for defamation and libel is 1 year from the date of the first event in the state where the crime was committed

Fraud is 3 years

Contract fraud is 4-5 years

Next

Make sure that you do not save any passwords on your computer
There could be hacking going on
Take notes of possible coconspirators involved with proof

Make sure that you secure your computers and internet

Go to http://comodo.com and install the free firewall and antivirus and run both scans of your computer for malware

Go to http://grc.com and do a port scan for vulnerabilities

Any emails suspicious that sounds like the person of interest or relevant to them or searching for personal info etc

Do not erase but put in seperate folder and check out the email headers for the originating and last ip address and traceroute it to see where it came from and to fake emails

We need to match the ip addresses of the emails to others to see if its coming from the same places

Comcast ip address is 76.

Try to locate as many victims as possible to prosecute for possible crimes from fraud to harassment and stalking and impersonation and intent and malice, unlawful use of a computer and ISP,  etc

Study the laws where the crimes occured at the time

Come also to Facebook and look up Yubin Lydto and the email is ubinconde1@gmail.com if you want to share an email or 2

File with police and FBI IC3 and attorney generals and district attorneies in all states involved

Secure your internet and change your passwords often

Any weird texts take record and report

Look them up on google first before you answer anything and save and take pics and screenshots of evidence

If your account has been hackeed into look to see if you can recover

Yahoo is a week
Facebook is a month
some others are a month etc

computer forensics may be able to get more

Carry pepper spray with you and document everything and report everything
That means if something bad happens
Call the police and file wiith IC3 and crimestoppers

When you go to bed, disconnect your internet

Make a fake profile and email address to communicate rather than with your own emailer
Get as many people in the community and others on the page to talk about the person of interest

So

In Facebook look in your settings and check for notifications in email and login security

Go to youtube and type in how to set up a VPN

Then create a gmail acct with a fake name and then a fake facebook account because you may have to do some intel work to gather evidence for your case and get yourself a calendar for reminders and things to do and events and make a notepad file so you can keep the perps info and study them

Whatever messages you have pertaining to the persons in question, make sure you save them in Notepad or Wordpad and make a seperate folder in your emailer and share correspondence and reports with your trusted friends and victims and people helping, that way everyone is on the same page and can help and continue in case something happens to a victim..

Plus you can look around for your friends to create a sting to get more intel

Make a fake profile and put some pics and make a fake name and hide your friends list and do the notifications

Make sure you also take notes of what kind of people we are dealing with
Their hobbies, their likes and dislikes, their cover pics, what car they drive, clothes they wear, email address, phone numbers, home and business address, ip address, aliases...
Then you develop a profile
That way its easier to put together strategy

Its a big thing going on

Stay safe and block weird phone numbers and email addresses and documentand report them

Get back with us if you need more help or if you want us to do the work which will take under 3 months, deending on the charges and how many people involved etc

After further research my previous post contains some misinformation, I have discovered that in Florida if a martial arts studio is considered "exempt" then they do not have to register as a health studio which also means they are not subject to following the guidelines set forth in the health studio act!!!  More reason to QUESTION and RESEARCH what you are getting into!!  I also found out, the 3 day rule DOES NOT apply if you sign the contract at their establishment!!!  Who would even know that unless you extensively research the law or call the Division of Consumer Services??  This whole experience has given me THE biggest wake up call!
