Right from our very first contact, they lied about the availability of homes and sites and prices. Every time we went in they changed their stories. They sold us a home and wrote a contract stating it was 56' x 28', 1508 sq. feet. We went and measured it and it was actually much smaller at 1386 sq. feet.

Now they are telling us that there are no sites available for that size home. We have to take the smaller home or none. Our contract states that we bought the 1508 sq. ft. home but we can't have it.

Southlake mobilehome park management and CAL-AM Properties lied to many buyers of Cavco homes in Fremont, CA. during 2006,2007 and 2008. They stated the square footage of the homes as 1508 sq. feet. they are only 1386 sq, ft. They stated that the sideing was cement board when it is pressed fiberboard. They stated that the piers are very large with 18 inch bolts anchoring them to the ground. Only six of the piers were this kind. The rest are much smaller and not attached to anything.

The homes were not installed correctly, did not have the correct number of piers required by state law and the piers were not attached to the house or their footings. The lots were not properly graded and stem walls not properly installed to prevent water from going under the houses and staying there. They knew about the water problem, they knew about badly rusted piers, they knew about mold inside and outside the house and did not disclose any of this to the buyers.

Some of the houses had defective, sagging floors.
Because of the water under the houses, they continue to settle and no matter how many times cracks are repaired they return with-in a couple of days.

No matter how much you complain and request these problems be corrected, they are not. They spend alot of money fixing alot of little defects but never fix the major problem of water under the house and settling and mold.
