My husband met these people at the bank. They asked him if he knew any investors. My husband was interested so we went over their house to see their business plan. They convinced us that they were going to hit the middle-upper class Latinos with a new clothing company, Spanish Fly Clothing.

They live in a mansion in Rancho Cucamonga. They told us that they just bought the home for 1.6 million dollars. They looked very classy and had everything you would think someone very successful would have. Their idea was also original and we believed in what they were doing. After a month of researching about them we decided to go with the promissory note. We verified that the attorney that wrote the note was also legit. We gave them ALL of savings for our first home of $60,000. They guaranteed us that they will give us our 60k plus another 60k in one year. Our note was due on January 1, 2009. They have not paid us a penny!

We still kept in touch with them and wanted to get updates about the business. It really did seem like it was going to be a huge success. In June Colleen Ramirez asked us for more money. She asked us for 6k and she guaranteed us our 6k plus 1k if we let her borrow the money for 7 days. She kept making excuses until after the 7 days and never paid us back.

After that we knew we just got scammed. We started doing more research and hired a private investigator. We found out everything about them was a lie. They scam people as a professional. They open corporations and close them down after they scam people. They have a desist and refrain order from the state and still continue to scam people without getting punished.

We contacted her dad and he even said to get the DA involved and that she scammed her own aunt and stepmom.

Do not believe anything they say. Do not give them money. The FBI is already involved and if they don't pay us back it will just get worse legally. Do not trust them!

We have lost over 70k because of them. All hard earned money from working.

Update Spanish Fly Clothing & Colleen Ramirez Scam

AUTHOR: Anonymous - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, May 21, 2009

As soon as Robert and Colleen saw our post on rip off report they contacted us. They told us they will start making payments on the $7075 judgment and will pay off the entire judgment by the end of May. They made a $500 payment and then demanded that we take this report off. We refused since they didn't make multiple payments. How are we supposed to trust them? We contacted them again to see if they will make a payment and they said no.
It is true that Elevate Magazine and One Empire have nothing to do with the promissory notes we have with them. But we have included it so people that search them can take extra caution when doing business with any entity they are associated with.
As you will see in the below link they have track record. www.corp.ca.gov/ENF/pdf/f/fiveStar_dr.pdf

UNTRUE INFORMATION HALF OF TRUTH.....UNFORTUNATE

AUTHOR: Colleen - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, April 20, 2009

This about this information is true and correct, Nagy and Jennifer (the two individuals stating this information) did in fact loan spanish fly clothing $60,000 for business growth and we all thought it would be a great oppurtunity for all involved to make money. All the correct steps were taken to insure that everyone was taken care of. The attorney drew up the agreement it was reviewed by Nagy and Jennifer and their attorney and all agreed to move forward. UNFORTUNATELY as everyone knows our economy took a dive as did our business. The invoices stopped getting paid the orders stopped coming in and everyone felt it. However we will continue to push the business as we know it has a strong ability to grow. We have at all times kept in contact with them because they WILL get their money back. There is no reason for us to go anywhere or to state anything different. THIS WAS A BUSINESS INVESTMENT and unfortunately it hasnt panned out YET. She is feeling the pressure extra hard because she did lose her job and was the familys bread winner, so she has also felt the economy harder. We sympathize with them both and everyone who is going through this, we did in NO way intend to scam this family and really want this all to turn out for the best. Our intentions have always been to take care of any and all business obligations and really hope the economy will rebound. The other business Jennifer had mentioned in this have nothing to do with Spanish Fly Clothing and had nothing to do with any sort of our agreement with them.
