I just saw the monthly statement from Sparklett's Water and notice that we had paid our monthly service after the due date. On a $54.10, they tacked on a $10 late fee which amounts to a rate of 18.48%. Also, noticed that they add an "energy fee" of $3.01 on my bill. For what??
This is ridiculous how this company which got my wife to sign up at COSTCO must be doing this to no telling how many people every month.
Its one thing to tell consumers. Its another to sneak in these fees somewhere in the ultra fine print and never tell you until you find out this way. Watch out for Sparklett's Water. They'll squeeze you for every drop of cash they can. Watch out for their hidden fees.

You paid your bill late and were charged a LATE Fee..imagine that.
I guess your right though they should assume that everyone will be like you and pay their bill late. After all it is only bottled water right? It isn't like it is another obligation like your House, Car, or other Credit. So they should make sure that everyone who signs up is well aware of this FEE(not Interest). Perhaps putting it in 72 point font would be sufficent, or is that still too "hidden"?
As for the Energy Charge...if you spent 30 seconds searching the Internet instead of writing this "RipOff" you would have found your answer.

Oh and by the way when your wife signed up she probably signed a contract that stated she had read and understood all of the terms right? So does your wife make it a habbit of signing things she doesn't totally read? Think about that....
