A long time ago if a person committed a felony, odds were many companies would give them a fair shot or second chance if the crime wasn't horrific, sexual in nature, or something dangerous.  That I can understand.  For the longest time when employers did their hiring most of them would hire felons.

Today's employment most employers go through Temp Agencies, Staffing Companies, or Employment Agencies.  ALL OF THESE AGENCIES ARE VIOLATING THE LAW!!  They are violating the law because none of them will hire a felon at all!!!  They do this because they are in the business of keeping contracts with the employers that they are recruiting for and they don't want to take a chance by supplying them with someone that might make them lose credibility.

TieTex for example is located in Spartanburg, SC.  When they did their own hiring, they most certainly took in felons from time to time.  Now Phillips Staffing does their hiring and they WILL NOT GIVE ANYBODY A SHOT THAT DOESN'T HAVE  A PERFECT RECORD.  These Staffing Agencies are killing us.  The S.C. laws states that jobs can't hold your previous crime against you unless you are a repeat offender, it's a job around children, and the crime you committed involved hurting or killing somebody, and Felons can't work at most Government jobs.  That's pretty much the law in a nut shell.  With that in mind, do you thing the agencies will let me work in a box factory somewhere making boxes...??? No!!!  They won't let me work anywhere.

I told a couple of Staffing Agencies about the Law and one of them told me it's the employers that they are recruiting for that don't want any felons. HAHAH.  She lied right to my face.  Okay, so if that's the case...Why does their forms say, "HAVE YOU EVER COMMITTED A FELONG? BY ANSWERING YES THAT WILL NOT NECESSARILY DISQUALIFY YOU FROM GETTING THE JOB.   <----------------Did you read that?? That is another lie.   I guess if we are going to have to get a job, then we are going to have to lie on every application we fill out.
