Spice Village Grill and owner Tabassum Ali Digusting Business Practices, Bait & Switch! Ruined Our Valentines Day! Huntington New York

I'm not sure where to start, what started off of what should have been an enjoyable night out with my GF, these fools ruined. We're both big fans of Indian food, so decided to go here for VDay. We looked on Groupon and found this location, i called to maek a reservation and check to make sure we could use the groupon. We were told it wouldn't be a problem and our reservation was all set. This was on February 9th.

On February 13 at around 7pm (the NIGHT before vday), i was called and informed that the owner decided not to accept groupons and that they were calling everyone to let them know. In other words, they're calling everyone on their list to let them know they're screwed.  I mentioned that i only bought the groupon because i was specifically told i would be able to use it.

The jerk on the phone told me that he was doing me a favor by telling "24 hours in advance" . No you jerk, you're ruining our valentines day dinner. He offered that i come in a different day to use it.....i said no, i want to use it on the day that i bought it for and was told i could use it.

I'd completely understand if i made the reservation and just brought it with me. But since i explicity asked if it would be okay and THEN bought it, they should honor their word. I spoke with the manager who started laughing at me over the phone in the "i know you're screwed, but what are you doing to do?"

Groupon wouldn't refund the money because it was over 3 days since my purchase. I asked the manager if he c ould call groupon, he said he would TRY to call. They literally have done nothing for me, we're never going to this place. Keep the $20, with such a crooked staff you need it more than i do!

After arguging with the manager for 10 minutes, he insisted that the owner can "do what ever he wants" and assured me that they weren't just screwing me but everyone else. So it's nice that they screw everyone over $20.

The owner called me a few minutes later, speaking down to me:
"Listen to me sir, you spoke with my employee"
"we;re not accepting any coupon, valentines day is once a year"

I hung up on him. Was literally the same conversation i had with his manager for 10 minutes. The DAY before VDAY IS NOT the time or place or CHANGE your policy on what you're accepting.

With so much hot air in the heads of the management there is no way they could have put any thought torwards the food anyway!
