I am writing a complaint now because I just found out that another customer had the same bad experience I had with Sportex, Inc. In Dec 2009, I ordered some jerseys from Sportex, Inc. At the time I spoke to the owner of the company, Naushad Hussein (which I will name as "The Fraud" through this entire message). The Fraud promised he would deliver the custom hats within two weeks.
Two weeks have passed and still no jerseys. I contacted him and he promised that he would deliver them in another week because his company is waiting for the material. He also promised that he would send me 2 dozen baseball caps for the inconvenience. Giving "The Fraud" the benefit of the doubt, I waited another week.
A month had passed and still no jerseys and hats. I've contacted him via phone calls several times and he would say that he is out of the country and would call me back in a few days when he arrives.
Six months passed and nothing still. I already made a payment of $450 because he said that he would need the total amount before starting the project. That was very stupid on my part.
One year later, I persisted on getting my refund. I even reported it to the Better Business Bureau. "The Fraud" says that he had given me a refund and that he had sent a check.
Upon hearing this, I contacted "The Fraud" immediately and asked for the check # and the address he sent the credit to. Mind you, this is already February 2011. It's been nearly two years.
"The Fraud" said that he would get back to me with the check# and the address he sent the check to. Well, the date is August 2012. No response from "The Fraud" and no jerseys and hats either. Up to this day, I still have the conversations we've had via email and text.
