I purchased a queen size mattress that was manufactured by Spring Time on 8/28/2013. Few days after my purchase the mattress started to sink and i called the store explained my problem they asked me to email pictures of the mattress. Untill October 4th nobody from Spring Time returned my complaint and i went to their main office in South Hackensack. I spoke to director of sales Krista, she said they never received my request! Once again i explained my problem and showed the pictures of the sinking mattress. Untill October 28th i called several times left voicemails and sent emails, finally on October 28th i was told to return the mattress to their warehouse/office location in Hackesanck. While i was expecting them to take care of the delivery i had to take the day off rent a delivery truck to return this mattress to Spring Time. When i got there, i was told warehouse is closed and come back on October 29th. After explaining my frustration to Spring Time VP of Sales Sarah Appleton, she accepted to open warehouse (next door) and take the mattress and promised me to deliver new mattress the day after. On October 29th i called several times Spring Time to follow up with their return procedure, they ignored all my calls. At 6pm i received a call from Sarah Appleton VP of Sales who told me to rent a truck and pick up the new mattress from Spring Time Warehouse. I paid over $600 for the brand new mattress, waited almost 2 months for Spring Time to take care of the wrong product, lost a working day, spent over $100 for delivery the wrong product to their warehouse and on top of everything i was told to spend same amount of money and time again to pick up new mattress from Spring Time warehouse. I decided not tp pick up and donate my brand new mattress to this cheap company. I'm deeply unsatisfied Spring Time Bedding's customer service dishonest executives. Consumers should be aware of the Spring Time Bedding products and bad customer service.

Customer Care 101

First of all, please explain this to me: Hiw is this your loss, when I purchase brand new "broken" Sprimg Time mattress for $600 and return it on my cost and not get new another mattress. If the mattress is not broken, sell it again and make more profit. I donated the mattress back to you, so it's my loss not yours,

If you are so good at customer care, why did you ignore my calls, emails and voicemails for between October 4 and October 29? Oh I'm sorry you were so busy at the office right! 

When I brought the matress to your warehouse your VP of sales promised me to deliver new mattress with your company truck, is lying your customer care strategy now?

Your expert at warehouse confirmd that mattress was broken. 

I lost time I lost money and I returned their mattress back without asking anything, that's all. As far as I know the furniture company stopped selling their products after this horrible customer care incident!

Unhappily resolved - Not the fault of Springtime Bedding

To whom it may concern,

Regarding this matter of Mr. Volkan Celik. He did purchase a mattress from Huffman Koos that was manufactured by us (Springtime Bedding) on 8/28/2013. Huffman Koos, then contacted us pertaining to this matter, and sent their customer here to our facility. Usually, our returns are handled at store level, and the customer is not directed to come directly to our office. Each return has to run its course and takes time to be evaluated as each one is handled as a case by case basis. This is why the process in his eyes took longer then he had expected to resolve. All our warranties are valid, that if a mattress is proven to be defective, a full replacement will be sent out for the customer. After that point, we asked that the mattress be brought back to our facility so that we could go over and inspect it with our inspection team. The mattress was inspected thoroughly, and after careful inspection unfortunately not deemed to be a manufacturers defect. This was a comfort issue as the customer chose a very plush mattress upon his purchase from Huffman Koos.  Therefore, this was the fault of the customer not paying any attention to the mattress that he was purchasing. Mr. Volkan admitted in person that he did not pay any attention to the mattress he had purchased. He was only concerned about the furniture set that he purchased at the same moment. Even still, we were willing to help the customer. Our warranty does not pertain to comfort issues as we always ask our customers to make sure that their customer takes their time in picking out and finding which mattress is perfect for them and which type of comfort level that would meet their needs.  The mattress that he had chosen was a very plush mattress. Even still, we were willing to help and suggested a firmer version of the same mattress for the customer. We were willing to give him a brand new mattress, and all that we asked was that he pick it up from us. We were going to take a loss on the mattress that he originally purchased just to help out Huffman Koos and their customer. Therefore, we produced a brand new firm mattress for him, and had it ready for pickup that same day. Volkan, was still unhappy with the resolution that we tried to provide for him. He called us screaming and demanding delivery. We do not do residential deliveries, and I tried to nicely explain this to him, but he did not want to hear that. We feel that we did everything in our power to attempt to help out the customer, regardless of the fact that he should have paid more attention to the mattress upon his original purchase. I hope you understand that we are a very reputable company that stands behind our products. We also bend over backwards to provide excellent customer service to our customers and tried to help this man as much as possible.

Please note: I have provided pictures that were submitted by Mr. Volkan Celik that you can see below. It is clear that the mattress is a plush mattress and would conform to the customers body type when laid on especually since you can clearly see that the mattress only contours to the point where Mr. Volkan stepped on and put pressure on with his foot and body weight. Please feel free to email me with any questions, comments, or further concerns that you may have pertaining to this matter. We here at Springtime Bedding take these matters very seriously, and never want to have an unhappy customer, let alone one that could not be happily resolved.
