Springer & Daly Collection Services was collecting for our attorney so we thought they were on the up and up. We called them once and they continuously called us until we signed the agreement. Our initial thought was that they were serious about their business that is why they called us 6-10 times a day. We weren't even given an hour to return the call, it was continuous. After a few weeks it was a red flag but by that time it was too late.

We gave them information on two collection cases we had. They were rushing us and we needed to dig the information so they didn't have all the information. One was very simple. The person didn't pay and we never contacted them. The amount was $32,000.

Steve Reeves collected a settlement amount of $8,800 within ten minutes he had the money wired to him. Then they told us that they had to hold the money for 90 days. Then the 90 days turned into 180 days. They  never paid us our share. They gave us $3,000 of what they collected.

When we tried to collect, we learned they operate out of a post mail box even though they told us they had an office.

These are crooked people. Please let us know if you were ripped off also. We are currently pursuing authorities interest in getting them criminally charged. (((REDACTED))) @outlook.com

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Defamation Suit Pending

AUTHOR: Mr. Monroe - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, April 29, 2014

Steve Reeves was an employee of Springer & Daly, Inc. and was in charge of collections only - he was not in charge of remittances, banking procedures, or any other financial areas.  The client in question, did not wire or otherwise make any electronic payments to S&D - he paid with a "check by phone", which was deposited as a normal check.  Canyon News received $4,556.21, not $3,000.00, as confirmed by Steve Kennedy, Business of Canyon News on September 23, 2013.

Our fee arrangement with Canyon News was30% - we received 30% of the $8,800.00, which is $2,640.00.  As I indicated to you, they owed us $1,603.79 on another file we were working for them and that figure was subtracted from the remittance.  They have been paid in full ($4,556.21) and were paid according to the contract they signed with us – no more – no less.

Be careful. Remember, making false statements in print is libel.
