Sprint Bogus Charges, Acotel Binary Sprint Nextel Bogus Charges Mysterious Charges show up. Atlanta Georgia
*UPDATE Employee: Offer to assist
*Consumer Comment: Acotel Binary and Qtones charges
I recently bought a new phone with Sprint/Nextel; making my contract renew. My monthly bill for the family fair and flexible plan is about $210-$220 a month. We have had the plane for about 2 months now. This month I get the bill and almost choke, when I see the amount of $770.94. The total minutes were 3 times the regular amount and there are bogus charges from Acotel Binary and Qtones. I already spend an average of 1.5-3 hours a month with sprint customer service; which is voted the #3 worst customer service in the US by MSN. The only option I am finding myself in is to cancel the contracts and move on.

Sounds like someone on your plan went online and entered their phone # on one of those "10 free ringtones" websites. Sprint has nothing to do with these charges. they are a different company sending the bill to sprint and sprint just passes along the charges. As far as the seven hundred and some odd dollar bill. wow!! Some of it is going to be for a prorated amount but the rest. you need to make sure they are not charging you for a ph (?) or internet access....if someone is accessing the internet from your phones and you do not have a internet plan that could cause your bill to skyrocket fast!!
