In April of 2010 we bought 2 phones on a family plan. The phones cost a total of $140.20, includes tax, with a rebate of $50 for each phone equally to $100.00 rebate.  They applied it to are next months bill. But we explained the the Sprint store employee that we were concerned we wasn't going to have the money to pay for the $140.20 plus the monthly bill of 69.99 and taxes all at once when we got the bill.  He told us to call sprint and that we could set up a payment plan arrangements.  A few days later I called sprint & told them about what the Sprint store employee said, that we could set up payment arraignments. We were told by the Operator that we couldn't set up a payment plan for our bill until we were actually late. The Operator said when we got are next bill, pay what you could and then call back about a week later to set up a payment plan. We paid what we could on the sprint bill and aprox. $200.00 was left. We called a few weeks later to set up payment plan for the late part of the bill. We were told that the payment plan was set up for us and that we could pay some of the bill a week, then pay so much every other week. After setting up this payment plan for the late part of the bill, we got a letter a few weeks later telling us to pay the bill in full and that it was late.  We called again and explained what we had set up to the Sprint operator.  The Sprint Operator set up another payment plan arraignments. Again at the end of may we got a bill saying if it wasn't paid in full it would be disconnected by then end of June.  So we AGAIN for the 3rd TIME called sprint and told the Sprint Operator what we have been told and about the PROMISED Payment Plan Arraignments. She went on to tell us that Sprint does not set up Payment Plan Arraignments. She said that she could not honor or set up a Payment Plan. So after arguing back in forth with her for about 15 minutes, I finally said "fine you don't want to honor what your company has promised us on the Payment Plan Arraignments, and have lied to us, then we will file a complaint to the BBB & ripoffreport.com".  Her response was "If you want to go ahead".  I then asked to speak to a manager and finally got one after about 20 minute wait time.  I spoke to a Sprint Manager named Matt, he refused to give his last name or badge number and/or employee number. We explained again about what we were promised and was suppose to be set up for a Payment Plan Arraignments. He told us Sprint does no such thing and never has. I explained that we have been told by 3 sprint employees that you can and it has been set up. He again said they can't. I finally demanded that they honor there promise of setting up the Payment Plan Arraignments.  He refused and would not honor what we were promised. I told him "If you are not going to honor what we were promised by 3 of your sprint employees, then I will file a complaint with the BBB and ripoffreport.com".  His response was "Go ahead, I don't care what you do"!

Don't worry Traci, they're probably plants anyway

AUTHOR: Shiloh - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, December 16, 2010

I just posted my own Ripoff Report yesterday in regards to a certain realty company in my area. And THERE HE WAS! Robert of Irvine lol! Imagine that! Honey, don't worry, it's obvious to me that many of these companies have internet plants to argue their cases for them. I went through something similar when dealing with another company online. As I read back through the threads and complaints, it was the same people, time and again, making the same argument, that the customer is ALWAYS wrong, and the pooooor lil corporation is in the right. It's just so ridiculous. Don't get upset, beat them at their own game. Don't yell, or type caps, or call them names...simply explain your situation with MORE proof, more COMPLEXITY, and outsmart them....trust me honey, it's not that difficult lol. Hang in there girl, I'm sure there are many others out there just like yourself, and you are most certainly not alone. :)

Robert you have pretty much no moral values what so ever!

AUTHOR: Tracy - (USA)

This just makes me wonder where has peoples common sense and sense of personal responsibility gone.

Well the truth is this comment pertains to you and the others that keep posting in here making Sprint the Victim and me the person that commuted Fraud!  Yes I am listing to you and everyone else post and every one is saying that it is okay for Sprint and other major company's to Lie, Sell on False Pretense and commit Fraud!  Because that is what Sprint did, lied to sell a product and everyone who is saying Sprint is the victim is agree with that and saying it is okay!  It is that plain, simple and obvious that you have very little common since then if you think that is okay for a company to do!  Yes it is the SAME thing as credit card company's, loans and everything else they agree ahead of time to let us make payments on it!

You see it is greedy people like you that are flushing the American and world economy down the toilet.  You and these greedy corporate company's lie, commit fraud, steal and cheat to help make the biggest buck for the bottom line!  Like you and the greedy corporations fail to take personally responsibility for your actions and then that makes it okay!  Keep doing what your doing because it is going to be people like yourselves that helps finally crash the economy!  It is pretty sad that you, the other ones that have made post here in Sprints favor and sprint themselves have pretty low moral values!

It took a few posts but..

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, June 13, 2010

We finally got to the "I don't like what you had to say so you MUST work for them" post.

Well this may be a shock to you but Credit Card and loans are not the same as "Payment Arrangements".  Why are they different?  Well with credit you have a written and legally binding agreement in ADVANCE that says in exchange for a company loaning you money, you agree to pay them back that money in a specific amount of time along with a "interest".  Payment arrangements are basically a "I can't pay what I already agreed to, so can you please modify my required payment schedule".

Now, if you have something in writing that you did at the time you got the phones that states it is okay to make "Payment Arangements" then I will retract my statement.  However, since that is something you would have mentioned before I think we all know the answer to that one don't we.

Oh and by the way I have not, nor have I ever worked for Sprint or any other cell phone provider.  In the end I don't really know why I keep responding to you because no matter what any one writes here you will not think you did anything wrong.  Which goes back to my question in the first post.

This just makes me wonder where has peoples common sense and sense of personal responsibility gone.

Robert - Irvine (U.S.A.) you yourself have made a fraudulent post

AUTHOR: Tracy - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, June 12, 2010

Yes  Robert - Irvine (U.S.A.) you come after me, blasting me for buying something for not having the money, falsely accusing me of committing fraud.  When you yourself have bought stuff in the past and will be in the future, buying stuff and making payment arrangements to pay for in time! Billions of people do you all the time, they buy something and agree to make payment arrangements, because they don't have the money at the time.  You know you done it and everyone has done it.  When you go use your credit card, you are buying something and agreeing to make payment in the future, this is a payment arrangement between you and your credit card.  When you go buy a car and make arrangements to pay over time to the dealer or a bank loan, you are making payment arrangements.  Going to best buy or some place like that and using there payment service you are making payment arrangements to pay the product off.  But yet you go blasting me for making payment arrangements with sprint, yet you have done it in the past.  So you have committed fraud by blasting me for something you have done before!

I find it very disturbing and rather disgusting that you can go and call me a fraud after Sprint knowingly and purposely promise that we could set up payment arrangement if we decided to buy there phones!  So your saying that it is OKAY for a company to Lie to a customer, just to get them to buy there product.   Although you didn't come out right and say that, that is what you are basically saying in your post, that it is okay to lie to consumers and commit fraud to sell products.

Which leads me to believe that you work for some huge company and that you yourself are probably selling stuff on fraudulent terms?

Now of course I almost guarantee that you are going to make another fraudulent post denying the fact that you don't work for a huge company selling products of false pretenses and that you are probably going to claim that you have NEVER bought anything ever and made payment arrangements to pay it off in the future, like credit cards, cars, houses or any other thing!

You are obviously a person of VERY low and Moral values!  I really fill sorry and pitty for you!

And so did YOU...

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, June 12, 2010

I did read the entire report and my comments stand.  You went in knowing that you may not be able to pay the bill and are now blaming Sprint for YOUR lack of RESPONSIBILITY and COMMON SENSE.

Let me put this in very simple terms.  If you don't think you can afford something then DO NOT buy it.

Fraud on Sprints part, NOT ares!

AUTHOR: Tracy - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, June 12, 2010

It amazes me the responses to this complaint.  Blame the Victim, us, rather than making sprint take responsibility for there lieing and fraud!  Like I said in my orginal post, that obviously the people that posted didn't read the whole thing, We explained to the sprint employee that we were concerned that we weren't going to be able to make the whole payment. The Sprint Employee told us that we COULD MAKE payment arraignments on the bill.  So if we were NEVER told that we couldn't make payment arraignments in the first place, then we would have NEVER bought the phones!

SO the FACT is that Sprint knew ahead of time of the stitutition, and purposely lied to us about being able to get payment arraignments to get us to by the phones!   This is FRAUD on there part!  Not ours!

If we bought the phones knowing that we couldn't pay and DID NOT inform them of that before the time of purchase, then Yes if would be fraud on our part.  But we informed them ahead of time before purchasing and they knew that, they told us something that wasn't true to get us to buy the phones!  So that is Fraud on there part!

BTW I have been with sprint for OVER 10 years know and NEVER had any problems like this before!  They have always provided VERY good customer service, up till know!

Sprint knew ahead of time

AUTHOR: Tracy - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, June 12, 2010

Obviously you DIDN'T read the whole report!  We told the Sprint employee about the financial stiutiation before buying them!  He told us that we could make payment arrangements!   Once we told that we decided on buying them, because we had NO reason to believe the sprint employee was knowingly lieing to us at the time!

BTW  I have been with Sprint for over 10 years know, so I thought I could trust them!

Fully read the report before making post like this

AUTHOR: Tracy - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, June 12, 2010

Obviously you didn't read the WHOLE thing that I posted.  We TOLD Sprint ahead of time about the payment, not be able to pay the whole bill!  The Sprint employee told us that we could make Payment arraignments!  That plain and simple!  If they weren't going to make payment arraignments for us, knowing full and well the stitution, they should have NOT told us a lie on saying we could make payment arraignments!

Not a fruad on our part, spint new the stitution upfront

AUTHOR: Tracy - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, June 12, 2010

Obviously you DID NOT read it that well.  We ask the Sales person before we bought, explaining about our financial situation and he tolds us that WE COULD MAKE arraignments!  So there was NO fraud involved on our part!

Learn how to read the whole thing before you start calling me a fraud and truly understand the facts!

I will never get it..

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, June 11, 2010

I really was hoping that the OP was joking, but I have a feeling that they are very serious.  This just makes me wonder where has peoples common sense and sense of personal responsibility gone.

I am glad that Sprint is not honoring any "payment arrangements" in your case, and hope that they don't back down.  In fact while I know they won't, I hope they go one step further and file fraud charges on you.  You got the phones knowing full well that you may not being able to pay your FIRST bill..and that is fraud.  There is a reason why the Sprint employees said to go ahead and file your reports..because they knew how much of a scammer you would come off as.  Is this too rough for you..tough.

I will say that I am NOT saying that companies should not make payment arrangements if you have service and run into "hard times".  However, that is not your situation.  You started service on these phones knowing that you may not be able to pay your first bill on-time.  Perhaps next time you go out and buy something you will think ahead and really think about if you can afford it.
