I received a letter from Sprint stating that I will be charged a fee of $4.99 if I do not sign up for automatic payments because I am on an Account Spending Limit. I have never gone over my limit or have services disconnect.
This just another way for them to get more money from poor people. I just signed a new 2 year contract so I can't cancel without paying $200 early termination fee. I am also unemployed so any additional fees is a strain. By law there are to give a 30 day notice but the letter was dated for 12/21/09 and the fee goes into effect on 01/10/10 .. I would say that is not 30 days. As soon as my contract is up I will be leaving Sprint Nextel for Good. This is how they treat former employees.

Yeah this is something we can do, lets all get together and hire an attorney to file a class action suit.

I just want to know if this is legal and is there any thing we as sprint customers can do to stop this hidden fees?
