Spur Valley RV Park Website pics misleading Radium British Columbia

For the long weekend, my husband and I with two small children travelled 14 hours to go to this campsite and visit the beautiful hot water springs of Radium.

You turn off the highway and head down into the valley. When we got to the bottom, what a surprise. DERELICT cars and campers, a field of wild grass and weeds not mowed. You did NOT see these pictures on the vacation.

We drove around the campsite. One section was amongst the trees. We prayed we would be in there and went into the office. The 'nice' tree area was seasonlong campsites. We look at the campsite she had us slated for....Right infront of the field of weeds and grass(abandon cars were across the field so VERY much in view from our site).

Not impressed...not even a little happy, we didn't want to stay there. Since it was late in the day on the long weekend Friday we told the manager we were going to say the one night. She inform us we had to pay for the full long weekend or had to leave -Not very accomadating or even helpful. The attitude was she had our visa number (from the reservation) so she didn't care what we did, or wanted or thought.

An added bonus they had just seeded the campsite for grass they had watered that day so the site was MUD!! Very dirt camper, van, kids, clothes, bed, ect. The manager said it was dried out (never did the two nights). And we hoped it wouldn't get too windy because up the tree was huge,dead and not attached limbs.

I wish I read something like this about this place because we would have went somewhere else. And anywhere else would be better!!
