Squaretrade Scam Beware Avoid San Francisco Internet

BEWARE BEWARE AVOID.  You cannot trust these individuals. 
You ever see "the rainmaker" with matt damon?  deny deny deny the claim . That's how squaretrade makes their money. They are betting that you will give up. 
And you deal with a firewall situation talking to a pakistani call center to keep you spinning. 
Do your due diligence online research before throwing good money thinking squaretrade will be there for you. 

I purchased a new samsung phone from ebay and added the squaretrade warranty onto it for $67 dollars.
A year later my phone a samsung Mega which I kept in a hard plastic case with a rubberized  exterior started getting glitchy. I had to do a hard reset several times and it would work for awhile then not. 
The phone was not dropped and i never got it near water. The mega is a large phone it is a phablet.

Squaretrade received the phone 8-6-15 and I did not hear from them for awhile. Then I called , they did not contact me to explain I had to contact them.

My claim had been denied because of physical damage due to a drop and water damage.
I had not dropped the phone and before I sent it in I removed the sim card and none of the water dots had changed to pink or red. They are strategically placed in the phone to show when water damage has happened. I was then told by another individual that corrosion had happened. 
My warranty is the standard warranty covering electrical and mechanical failure during normal wear and tear.
The call center is in Pakistan with polite individuals working with scripts. I was told several times about why my claim had been denied. 

Then they OFFERED to refund me the total premium of the policy. I have never heard of an insurance company offering to give money back. This is a red flag. 
I was told that it is the USB board that needs to be replaced. A $12 dollar item on Amazon and a $6 item on ebay.
Then offered again to refund me the total premium.
They then did not at that point return the phone to me.  3 days later on 8-17 looked online and the status of the phone was that it had been repaired.
I called them again, 1-2 hours of being on hold I get to talk to a senior claims specialist and I am informed once again of all that I heard last week and then the offer to refund my money. 
They then tell me that the phone has been repaired and is on it's way to me, when I question them on this then I am informed that they just received an email saying that the phone had not been repaired. That the phone had failed the audit. I then told them that the reputation of squaretrade was problematic and that it was recommended online to contact the better business bureau. And I mentioned that I was going to write a yelp review of what happened. This got their attention and now I am waiting for the audit with photos to be emailed to me so i can see what the problem is. 
The call center people are firewalled away from what is going on so to wear down the people needing customer service.
