I was contacted via email by Cheap Trips and accepted their initial "Trial Memebership" in order to review their services. Once I received and reviewed their printed materials I phoned them and cancelled the membership and requested a refund of the $59.95 they charged to my credit card. They said that I had to first return the membership materials. I mailed the package to them that same day and it was received in their office four days later.
In the mean time they charged my credit card for a second monthly fee of $59.95, which I protested and demanded that they refund both chrages. They stated that their policy was to issue refunds after two billing cycles of approximately 60 days. Iprotested thei delay, but believing the issue was otherwise resolved, I did not file an immediate dispute with my credit card company.
After two months Cheap Trips still had not issued the refunds and I called them and was told that I should see the refunds on my credit card statement within the next four to five days. This did not happen and I have since reached someone at Cheap Trips four or five more times. Every time I'm told that the refunds are coming in 7 to 10 days or that theywere issued and they don't know why they didn't go through.
I can no longer reach a live person at the numbers I have for Cheap Trips.
