On january 31 I came to St.Louis freightliner because fuel tank on my left side was transfering to the right tank side instead to engine. They told me that my fuel lines are leaking and shut off valves are old and in bad condition. During the work they also found debris in fitting at right tank and removed it. All lines were replaced and shutting valves also. They started truck and at that time seemed ok. I had to pay bill $683.98 for parts and labor.
Just 10 miles away on I-55 south my engine cuts off and somehow I pulled to shoulder and tryed to restart but didnt work. I called freightliner and they told me that they will swnd someone out. One guy came and he started checking all the valves and fuel filter and he told me that part was good, then he called another guy from shop to bring him laptop. After that check first mechanic told me my ecm-engine computer is bad and the otherone said cost will be around $4000. Then he asked me what I want to do, call tow truck or stay there, cause they cannot fix it on the road.
He called tow truck and that night truck was there again. I left to motel and was told to call in the morning. It was sometime around midnight. Next morning I called 8;30 and service adviser(same second guy from last night)said how he has good news and I dont have to spend $4000 for ecm. When I came in he pulled new bill for $1229.18- $595 for tow truck and rest for labor and stating that they replaced some check valve.
Again, advisor said that they found debris again in that valve but didnt state on my bill. Also, they state that my axle flange studs had been damaged by wrecker. I started to complain, saying that there is service responsibility for what happened also. They didnt care about my words. I was mad and tired, but I paid and left.
After 500 miles I noticed my left tank again transfering to right.SAME PROBLEM. Now i got here in Texas and dont know what to do. I'll be thankfull for any help or advice.thanks
