Ive never seen such an unprofessional piece of work and been charged money for it too. At Stacey studio, they 'require' the purchase of custom Christmas Cards include their logo, a slogan, a website and phone too, and border graphic super-imposed right on the picture, all across the bottom edge over 1" tall, making them look like a direct mail piece for the studio! I've never seen anything like it. We have received many similar style cards but none have ever had this sort of thing. We were charged over $200 for 25 card ads. Thats $8 a card!! ( the price was after promo we had bought, so add even more$$$) Heck why not put a coupon in there too?? I'm supposed to mail close family and friends and embarrassed to do so, and most live out of town anyways (so no advertising benefit). The owner said that its "No different than Hallmark greeting cards" (she actually said that). We asked that it be removed, "That's how we do it, and "you can just cut it off if you dont like it!!"...."so what's the problem?" The problem appears that this business cares only about protecting work they were well paid for, and self-promoting at the expense of paying clients. I can't recommend them, there are other good studios we've used who dont sully their reputation with ads on paid for work, and we'll go back to them instead. Can you say backfired, Stacey??
