I am writing this to warn others before they join this franchise! From the get go I should have known that this business was a joke, but I went against my better judgment and invested my money anyway.

I was told coming into this that set up would be easy, cost low, and earnings would be VERY good. I was told this by the representative I spoke to, Sarah Willis. She introduced me to this business, and the opportunity. I met with her and spent time asking questions, and she had the answer at the ready for every one. The rules they set up cannot work for anyone! The business is a waste!

They say there is no competition, but I ran in to 2 other franchise owners in the field. The investment was more than expected! Over $200,000 set up and store fees. The training was a waste of my time. I could have learned what they told me out of a book and spent $15.50! The store I had to rent out cost me too much, and I had to set it up the way they wanted!

I hired 2 people to work with me, and then had to let one go because I could not afford to pay him, and the other got the pink slip on Friday. I hated to do it, but I had to. I marketed to churches & places in my community and still made no money. Their proven method is trash! What a waste!

There are no buyers interested in the product! Buyers say it looks cheap. Sarah told me you do not need to have too much merchandised on hand, because it turns around so fast. YEAH RIGHT!

There is no support once you are out running business; you are virtually on your own. I am now in the process of fighting off the bank for the money owed, and thinking of asking for my investment back. I would sell the company, but who would buy?!

Stained Glass Overlay is a ripoff - waste of time

AUTHOR: Someone_from_texas - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, December 10, 2004

I know there has been a lot of things said about Stained Glass Overlay, and someone might look at all of this as BS, but everything you read about this company is true. I have been a franchise owner of SGC for about 15 months. I began by talking to and meeting with Tom Wood. A very nice lady, a bit jumpy to get my into the process, but nice any way. She told me that the average affiliate makes about $140,000 a year. That is after a $50,000+ investment.

Well, I had to take out a loan, and quit my job of 21 years to run this 8hr's a day. I worked and worked at getting clients. SGO gave me a few people to contact and sell to. But nothing came of it. I think they got the names out ot the yellow pages.

Now here I am 15 months later and I have been back at my old job for 6 months now. Not at the same salary. I am struggling to pay back my lender, and try to keep my house. This business is not real, and there is no support once you get it up and running. I spoke to Andrew B & Scott G for support. I emailed both of them and got almost the same answer.

I tried hard. I really worked my business. And nothing came form it. I deserve a refund and I told that to SGO. You know what I was told. No. Sorry. This is your business, and we never promised you any $. I wish I had what Tom Woods told e on paper. O, and for Tom, he no longer calls or emails me. Once he got my $,that was it.
So stay away from SGO

Stained Glass Overlay Gutter Rats took my money

AUTHOR: Rob - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 08, 2004

Man, I sure wish I knew all this crap before I sent my franchise fee, $100,00 and change, even after my accountant advised me not to. I was planning on making it big her in the city of colored lights and facade. Look around Sarah said, see any pretty glass, that will be your next paycheck. I did take the time to speak with 3 other affiliates of SGO, (I think that stands for Suckered

longer interested in SGO Franchise, thanks for this public service...

AUTHOR: Arnold - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 07, 2004

WOW, I am sure glad I saw all this information. I just got off the phone with Sarah Willis, and was considering on sending in my franchese fee. I was going to borrow the money, on the premis that Sarah promised I could make my investment back in 6 months. I already spoke with 3 SGO affiliates, they all reported favorable results. I accidentally found this site, and have since found other sites that have the same things to say about SGO. So, now I have a clearer view, and am no longer interested in SGO Franchise, thanks for this public service...
