Stainsafe DO NOT PURCHASE ANY WARRANTIES FROM STAINSAFE...FRAUD & NEGLIGENCE!!! Palm Beach Gardens Florida

I bought some furniture from D&D Home Furnishings in Hatfield, Pa last January (I'm going to write another report on them after this one!). I purchased the extended 5 Year Warranty from them, being that it was a large purchase and I wanted to be covered in case anything happened to it. No one told me that the warranty information would be deilvered with the furniture, so I wasn't looking for it when the furniture arrived...I was too busy inspecting the furniture for defects or damage.

The warranty information (including the vital "certificate #" which they "need" in order to register the warranty), was never deilvered to me. It wasn't until recently, when I learned that the store (D&D) that I bought it from, was going out of business (surprise, surprise...make sure your CEO's get real nice bonuses before you go under!), so I wanted to make sure that the warranty would still be honored.

That's when I learned that the warranty was covered under Stainsafe, a name that now makes shivers run down my spine after all of this. After looking into Stainsafe via on-line review sites such as this one (just about the only thing that holds businesses accountable these days), I learned that Stainsafe was under investigation by the Florida State Attorney Generals Office, and that many other customers have received poor customer service and their claims have gone unanswered.

After contacting the corporate office of Oscar Huber/D&D, they told me that my issue was with Stainsafe, not them. And guess what? When I contacted Stainsafe, they told me to contact the dealer!!! Its enough to make someone lose their mind! Its no wonder D&D/Oscar Huber is going out of business...I hope all their employees go unemployed and their CEO's go homeless. You can't treat customers like this, its completely unfair, illegal, and yet, somehow, no one is held accountable.

Its not my fault they didn't deliver the warranty information! So I paid $200 bucks for a warranty which was never registered, and can't be registered because they need the certificate # which I never got!!!! To me, this constitues fraud on the part of Stainsafe and Oscar Huber/D&D.

If you want my opinion, all warranties and insurance are a scam. There's no one protecting the customers anymore. These big companies with their lawyers think they can treat their customers like this?

I don't know what I'm going to do. I don't think the police will do anything...and the Better Business Bureau is a joke.

Oh well, thats why I'm posting this complaint.
