In their website their say Get a free scale - 4 weeks trial and after trial period pay a monthly fee of $15.99.

After I opened the account on 8/8/13, I sent them an email 5 minutes later asking them to close the account, and a clear message "Do not charge my credit card".

They reply to my email: - We are sorry to hear that you wish to close your Stamps.com account. To close your account, please call the Customer Care team toll-free at 1-888-434-0055 Monday through Friday, 6 AM to 6 PM Pacific Time and Saturday 6 AM to 3 PM Pacific Time.

I called them on 8/22/13, the representative could not find my information in the system, I gave her all my information again after 10 minutes she found my information, I asked her to resend me the scale because I moved to my new home and never received, also I asked to the representative to close my account, she says there won't be a problem that my account will be closed.

I assumed that after I sent them an email asking to close my account in the Trial period and after call them asking them to close my account again will definely be closed but NO.

Today I found an email from them saying:

Dear juan,

 We attempted to charge your service fees to your credit card on 09-09-2013 12:49 PDT.  Unfortunately, the service fee charge of

$15.99 could not be processed.

My wife called them right away to ask them why they want to charged me if the account is closed?

They reply that they do not have any information in the system showing that my account was closed.

My wife mentioned the email sent the same day that I opened the account asking them to closed and the representative could not find it in the system, my wife said that I can forward it to them and suddenly the rep. found the email!! - oops, it was in the general email box.

But anyways she said that I should called them and ask them us to close the account over the phone, thing that I did on 8/22/13!!! but the rep. could not find record of that.

My wife asked her do not charge my credit card because the account was closed, the rep. said -Sorry I cannot modify the statement you have to pay $15.99, - How would you like to pay it? For a moment my wife thought she was talking to a retarder person!

Finally after my wife got mad the representative told her that they can low the bill 50% and my wife replied, you mentioned that you cannot modify the statement and now you have the ability of give me 50% off? How is that? Please do not charge me anything.

The rep. replied:

-Your responsability is paying your bills and you have to pay us now 50% less, How would you like to pay?

Tired of being on the phone with this person my wife frustrated hung up the phone.

** This company is a thief and would do everything to get money from people, my big mistake was trusting in a big company and give them my credit card information, but big companies are the worst **
