TDI (Truck Driver Institute) and CDI  (commercial driver institute) uses a company call Standard Financial Services to pay for your school.  I had the GI Bill to pay for mine but they make you sign papers near the last day of your school before you can graduate from this company, and/or school.  Standard Financial sent me a letter a few weeks after I graduated stating that if I paid a certain amount in full within so many days, I would get the discounted offer.  The VA paid several hundred dollars over this offer but if you know the VA like I do, once they pay something there is nothing you can do to change it.  I asked for the difference to be mailed to me and I never got it from Standard Financial services.  Now they have an attorney by the name Michael Herrin that keeps sending me threatening letters, reporting negative credit on my report and my mothers report.  I have asked them repeatedly to fix this error.  The lady at his office is Christy.  Very unprofessional and rude.  She stated that since I didnt pay for the amount to be paid in full out of my OWN pocket, that I wasnt able to accept that offer because the VA paid it with my GI Bill.  This attorney Michael Herrin has been faxed numberous letters confirming my payment, the letter or offer from his company and they have nothing in my file stating so.  I have also saved the emails that I have sent his office.  I have researched and come to find out he either is part owner in all of the above (school, fiannce company and collection attoreny) that he can bully you too.  I would think twice before dealing with these people.  If there are any attorney that could assist me beyond filing something in small claims court, please respond to me asap!
