A 98 year old client of mine received a letter and a $4900 check payable to her so she won't have to spend any of her money on the taxes due to the winning.
This letter and check look real. The letter has a Claim Number on it and a serial Number from an Entry Slip. Says that this "Compensation Draw" was organized in conjunction with Walmart, Sears, Home Depot, Safeway, etc.
It also reads that in order for the "winner" to receive the rest of her $250,000 she must contact BILL JAY at 1-905-782-9905.
It also gives a Tax Agent name who should receive most of the monies allocated on the "check": NELLY COLE

St. John, NB E2L 2X6

The letter is signed by HAROLD FORD, VICE-PRESIDENT.
Something needs to be done about this. At last count there were 17 entries against this "company."
