Stanley Steemer Of NH (Ron Mitchell Enterprises) A true scumbag company to give your money to, and a monster to work for Goffstown New Hampshire

I'm glad I finally left this place to go back to school last year so now I can write this. Wish I had found this website sooner. Here goes:

Ever since I started working at this company I've been horified. There isnt much the owner has done that doesn't disgust me. He loses his tempur over nothing, like wicked eazy (he's a messed up war veteran) and is constantly swearing at anyone who pisses him off. It's a "family" company, so sometimes you can hear him yelling at his wife or sun upstairs before he comes down to the shop floor too freak out on somebuddy else next. He calls his employes names all the time, right from when their hired. People their are constantly being threatened there jobs- told if they dont like it to get the f*ck out, both in person and in group meetings. They even talk trash about their own customers, both on the radio that goes to the trucks, and around the shop. Employees are paid commision, but it never seems to be right, but anyone who complains or asks to be told how their paid (I'm glad I never did that) are given the run around, talked to like they are stoopid, and sent away. He once accused one employee of stealing money (turned out to be the office girl instead) and after he fired him on the spot he chased him out of the parking lot all the way to his car trying to hit him. There's also a Veitnam veteran who works there who gets sick alot but they are always trying to threaten to fire him whenever he has to go to the hospital or try to harrass his family accusing them of lyeing and going on vacation together.. Pretty sad since the owner is also a Veitnam veteran.

There was this guy I heard about who was gone for almost a year by the time I got there, but people said he spilled a little bit of chemecal by accident and made a spot in a granite countertop... Instead of putting it on the insuranse, the owner made the employee pay cash for it himself. When the employee paid he said he wanted the countertop. The owner said no, and then took the countertop for himself to HIS OWN house and had it cut down and re-installed there. It was a very emotionaly hurtfull work environment too say the least. They are always hiring because they're always fiering.

None of this would matter to you the customer except your not getting what you pay for either. ALL of the solutions they use are watered down AT LEAST 50% to save the owner money. The cleaning solution in the truck is mixed at the shop from a 150 gallon mixer from industreal powder they buy from stanley steemer international. It is only mixed to HALF strength.

The same is true of the deodoriezer- It is mixed at the jobsite (in the back of the truck where you can't se us) from a small jug that looks like a mini antifreeze container. It gets filed at the shop every night by the boss when we get back. This jug (if you read the label) is only suposed to make 2 gallons of solution. Instead the jug has 8 marks going across the side of it. Written on the side of the container in black marker (right over the REAL directions) it says "mix one line per gallon of water." Mixed like this, it is bareley strong enough for it to make a room of carpet smell good... At the end of the day, the owner looks at the sales for the truck to see how much deodorizer was purchased by the customers. Then he looks at how much concentrate is left. If he feels you have used too much, you are accused of stealing (giving away free rooms) and fired.
Also, the instructions on the bottle say to spray one gallon of deodorizer to every 200 square feet of carpet. Instead, the owners came up with their own formula: 2 to 3 rooms of carpet per gallon. This new formuela is also used to fire employees. The rules are simple: mix the stuff way too thin and spray down way too little, or get threatened with you're job.
And what happens if the stuff doesn't woerk because IT'S TOO WATERED DOWN? The customer calls back and gets a free re-do, and the owner yells and swears at you, tells you that you didn't do your job right, that you're all a bunch of "f*cking idiots" in a group meeting that he will hold the next mourning. He will yell and tell you theres nothing wrong with his products and that your just not useing them right, and tell you how dumb you are and how good he is to you guys and how greatefull you should all be. What if you don't want to get yelled at in the morning and you mix the stuff the way it's supposed to? Then they acuse you of stealing and you get yelled at, threatened, or fired. You can't win. It's like working in a n**i prison camp with a man who takes turns between trying to act nice one second and then snapping and screaming at you like you're his abused stepkid the next. I've seen people cry in the trucks on the way to their first job sometimes.

Pretty much the same story is true about the super sheild protector spray. It's made at the shop with lots of extra water, and the big difference is were supposed to tell people its got no Teflon in it when that's all it is. Even the huge barell we fill up from at the shop had that label on it right until there was a scream filled meating where they yelled at us all for calling it Teflon. Maybe a customer complaneing? They made fun of us all and ripped the label of.

Anyway, Its sad but whatever. I'm going to school for culinary arts now. If you live in NH just call servicemaster or something.
