This man was hired to do an intervention in California for my son. When asked to produce credentials and references, I was told to 'google' his name. After being given the run around and realized he was here to vacation. I did google his given name "Todd Wm. Magnuson". I found 2 current warrants for his arrest in 2 different states. One was for domestic violence and the other is for felony fraud forgery.
When confronted he tried to tell me the were for traffic tickets and s**t happens. After I tryed to get an explanation of why there is a lack of credentials and references, I was told he couldn't work with me. I told me to google Liam Magnuson. I did and there were some profiles ,posted that states he has a BA BS and LADC. I continued to search state websites to verify his LADC. I have yet to find one.
There isn't a working listing for a phone number for Stardust Interventions. This is supposedly the company Liam founded is the CEO. I gave him $200 cash for a deposit and recieved nothing for it.
This man violated my trust and I shared personal information with him. I am working with authorities in hopes of stopping this man from doing the same thing to other families.

My Name is Michelle R. I'm one of the people Liam helped in the past. Nine years ago he helped my family save my life. I was a pretty tough case and presented many challenges for him and his team, but in the end I surrendered. Through that intervention and the ongoing support Liam gave I have remained clen and sober for almost 10 years. Liam is a hard working professional who drops whatever he is doing to help others. Valerie N. is correct, many times he makes no money and even suffers loss of personal time and plans. I agree 100% with Valerie N. from Greensboro, NC.

I'm sorry for your experience however Mr. Magnuson has never done anything in the 6yrs I've known him "but" help others' sometimes at a loss for himself fiscally and aesthetically. Mr. Magnuson does not come cheap and his services are worth it to all those that allowed him to help.
It's a difficult balance of people when trying to help loved ones and often times we can be too close to the situation, that's certainly no reason to lash out. Generally, if everyone is working toward the same goal there is resolution. When there is no accord and all family is not willing to take direction hard feelings can develop. Yours are the 1st I've ever heard of actually.
It's also slanderous and libel to publish untrue information about someone being a fraud because you didn't have the outcome you wanted to have.
P.S.
You can't get references from a confidential service. If you weren't sure of his credentials originally seems that would be on you to take care of before he invested his time and flew out to help you. I don't travel with mine, don't know anyone that does without a request!
