I was called on December 8, 2005 on a promotional offer to receive a $500.00 Gift Card from Wal-Mart for trying out the FREE ten day trial of Make-A-Movie Club, Net Forever and Health Network. I was given a number o 10780 and a shopping number of LX6012. I spoke with ?Joe? from the Promotional Department. My package was supposed to arrive within three to five business days. I did not receive it after seven days. I called back to cancel, but was assured that it was ?on the way?. On December 27, 2005 I still had no received the mentioned package, therefore I called to cancel it all out. I was given a cancellation number of 180745 for the Make-A-Movie Club, cancellation number 180744 for Net Forever, and cancellation number 180743 for Health Network. My account was debited two months later without my permission and caused my checking account to be overdrawn which caused numerous bounced check and bank fees. I can not get in touch with any one my mail or telephone. Every time I call it is either busy or I am told to call back in ten minutes, one hour, one week or one month.

How did they debit your account?

AUTHOR: Josephal - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, October 06, 2008

If they were free trials, why did you give them account information? Never give anyone bank account information for a product that is "free." If it is truly free they don't need the account. Also, GoDaddy has a point. What is the reason for listing them in the title? How do they fit in with Starr Communications? Actually, GoDaddy has offered to help if Starr has a domain with GoDaddy! Why would you not take potential help from one of the largest registrars of domain names?

Did you immediately report the unauthorized transcation with the bank? Tell them the company falsely debited your account. Even if they can't get the money back now, at least make sure the bank knows (banks don't like giving out unauthorized money generally).

I do not know if some wrong information was added but the company is called STARR COMMUNICATIONS or Consumer Reward Network 6433 Topanga Canyon Blvd. Canoga Park, CA, 91303, telephone number 1-800-357-7518, Contact: Paul Tosi. I have tried emailing, numerous telephone calls, numerous letters and I have had no response, not even an apology. Information on Starr Communications

AUTHOR: Office Of The President - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 29, 2006

Dear Cathy,

GoDaddy.com is a domain name registrar and as such, does not participate in any of the promotions you have indicated. The address and phone number you have provided is also not Go Daddy's.
You have referenced Go Daddy in the title of the report but not elsewhere in the body of the complaint. Therefore, we are curious how you made a connection between Go Daddy and Starr Communications.
If you can provide a domain name, we can help you track down the correct party that you should be addressing this complaint to.

Please let us know if we can help you in any other way.

Kindest regards,

Laurie Anderson
