startmart dishonest auto ripoff repair business

I got in my car to go to work. I started my car I noticed my alternator had gone out again. My brake light and my battery light come on and stay on when the alternator is not working. I brought my car back to the startmart at which the alternator was originally purchased a month ago this is the second time I had to go back for the alternator going out.

his time a man named Walt came out to test my vehicle he had me start the car he put some of his wires on the car alternator and battery. All of the sudden the alternator began sparking I shut the car off as instructed and the alternator was on fire. He then had one of the other guys pull it out. Walt and I stood in the back and I watched as he rebuilt another old alternator.

This is not the alternator that just burnt up, which was not even the alternator that belonged in the pickup in the first place. It had been swapped 5 days earlier for the first alternator I purchased from them when it broke. The first time I came in I had a frozen pulley, which had nothing to do with the electrics of the car.

When Walt finished rebuilding the newest alternator the one after the fire, I went to install it and the mount on the alternator was too big. I brought it back once again he took it apart. Grabbing what look to be old used alternators he put a different stator in the alternator.

Now he told me it would work, I placed it back into the car and started it. Still the lights were on this alternator was not working. I went inside the shop and told Walt it is not working. Seemingly very frustrated he seemed too grow annoyed. He got his tester once again I started the car this time I stayed inside incase anything were to catch on fire. Again sparks this time I shut it off quick.

When I got out of the car he said I had an electrical problem I got back in my car turned the key and I had no lights or accessories, nothing. At this time Walt and another man who came over tried to fix it pulling my fusible link and splicing it to another wire this did not fix it. Walt then told me he could not fix it and that I should go to an electric shop to have it fixed. He left, the other man stayed and looked at my fuses and said half the fuse box was now dead and there was a blow fuse. He told me I should walk too shucks and get some fuses so I did.

When I arrived at shucks a lady informed me that she has had a lot of people come in with complaints of problems with the startmart and suggested I not do business with them. Then the parts guy tells me he has had friend that worked there and they said that they do dishonest business.

I bought some fuses and walked back to the startmart. When I get back there is a different fusible link and no one to help me. Walt says it is now my problem and to take it up with the manager at the Tacoma store so that is what I did.

I could not go to work and had to drive my car home with no lights or accessories. When I got there I call startmart I Tacoma and left a message for a manager with Sherrill no one ever called me back.
