Startmart dishonest quoting practices, slow and sub-par workmanship. Tukwila Washington

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE.

Their apparent practice is to quote the lowest price around (by a lot) we were quoted 139 including parts and labor. When we were checking in we were asked to sign a waiver for an additional 60$ of labor in case "there were any obstacles "...we made them change this number to $20 and they did so grudgingly. We additionally dropped the car off (a 1990 q45) at 10AM Friday morning and apparently (car isn't finished at this time (Saturday 12:00 pm)) there is a fair chance it will be done today (they wont just come out and say it will be).

We were told yesterday that the reason they didnt even begin work on it was that "others drove up and were [basically more important]" than other customers that thought ahead and brought the car in.

So basically we are stuck at this point... if we told them not to do that additional work (take off the skid plate(what car doesnt have a skid plate?) or maybe remove the ac to reach the hard to reach bolt (what car doesnt have a hard to reach starter mount bolt?) then we have to pay their labor cost up to this point and a new tow fee...

Basically DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE... we were quoted 50% less than what we are going to end up paying and from what I read of the other reports on this site we are in for a shady ride if there are any problems with their install.
