Starving Students, Inc. Box Rip Off Santa Clara California

When I scheduled my pack and move job, I was advised that I could buy boxes at a "discounted price". I called the local office and informed them that I need boxes. Prior to Starving Students coming to pack my glassware, my husband and I bought boxes to pack the rest of the house. We bought over 30 boxes and paid $94.

Today, Starving Students came to our home and packed our belongings. When we got the bill, we were shocked to find that we had been charged almost $400 for 43 boxes. The boxes cost as much (literally) as our move!!!! The cost of boxes through Starving Students was triple the cost that we paid at our local moving and storage company.

I called headquarters to complain and was met with indifference. After pushing the issues further, they gave me $10 off per hour of my move (which will end up being a discount of about $40). I am furious. We are only half way through our move, and I have already paid out what I budgetted for the full move!!!!
