i entered a binding agreement for my items to be moved from el paso, tx to jacksonville florida/ my things were supposed to be picked up on 10/05/12 or 10/06/12. the supervisor mike spoke to me around 3pm  my time advised that they will or may be
there late afternoon saturday i advised i have a sick relative and need to be in jacksonville by tuesday 10/9/12/ he stated that it would be fine to just do our packing and leave a key in a known spot provided me with his cell number and to text him the key location. i advised him the importance that it be done on time because i have rented my home out and a cleaning crew and inspection needed to be done he understood. so on saturday we left around 10 am and we text mike the location of the key it was in a lock box and the code ..we heard nothing .

a few hours later i called and text just trying to make sure everything was okay. i heard nothing. my cleaner goes to the house and states that my stuff was still there i had to send him away. so sunday i finally heard from mike around noon telling me that the movers will be there i get a call from summit van lines saying that they will be there w/ in the hour i advised them of the lock code and were the key was they okay'd. so i continue on my 27 hour drive .. i stop to get gas and no phone call but i happen to look at my email and found that peter from summit emailed me hours ago saying they cannot do the job unless the bill of loading is completed which i need a pc to do i tried to call the driver back heard nothing called mike he said yes it was supposed to be sent to me friday 10/05/12 when he advised me it would be okay to leave on saturday. so i had no internet connection had to get to a place were i would stop  and be able to pull out my lap top i filled it out .finally late sunday i called mike and the driver over and over again and no answer i got told dont worry it will be fine, so the cleaning crew goes to the house on monday and my stuff was still there. no one called said anything .i had to hound mike in order to find out that the movers left they couldn't wait on the bill of loading but they told tiffany the orig. agent that booked my job said they blamed it on the lock code (which we told them we text called and emailed) .so the soonest they could have someone is by wed 12  have another company move our stuff..

so wed. comes in and i hear nothing assume people are moving our stuff. called tiffany because mike again wouldn't' answer our call and they said they were already there not to worry. again since we got them a cashiers check from the bank left it there per mikes instructions we couldnt hire anyone else so we had no choice but to wait so..again wed evening the  cleaning crew went and again our stuff was still there so we began to panic because we needed our place cleaned and inspected for the tenants. so again we were assured wed. night at 6pm oh the drivers are finishin gup and will be there in an hour. i get a call from william the new driver that he wont be comming till POSSIBLY the 6pm thursday .i called mike no answer. my bf called mike and he answered for him and said no the driver will be there there was alot of back and forth finally the driver decided it was okay to pic up our stuff @ 9 pm on wed 4 days after my CONTRACT said it would be picked up. come to find out we're over 180 cubic square feet which we do not know how because all items that were left were slender small items. so we called mike and asked if the contract discounts would be honored since they broke their honor as far as the pick up date and we were told packing wrapping mat. would be covered and this new company will not and we get the run around .the driver states they would send a pic of our stuff proving the amount of space. he sent us a picture of an elliptical that wasn't even from our
load. orig. price had a terrif disc and milit. disc. and now i'm being told that wont be honored because its a dif. company!

i do not want a full refund. i do owe for my property being moved which i have already paid 622.00 by a navy federal cashiers check but they fouled the original  contract by not honoring the pick up date having me chase a professional company around to get them to pick up my things . all i ask is that the same 66.65 % tarrif discount that was in my orig estimate and milt
discount be honored for the so called extra space that mysteriously has been used to figure what we owe. job # c605743 is the estimate. when i asked if this was going to be honored they just transferred me around and stated that i
should be lucky they did it for 2400 which was not the orig. quote it was 1242.72 after all discounts. that if it were someone else i would be charged more due to my location.

when i did have someone physically give me a previous estimate which was lower but statewide assured wrapping materials would be included ( which i also got charged 96.50 additional for for these drivers) i explained the point is that its not my fault. they did't honor their contracted pick up had i not agreed to my end i would've owed them 25% if i'd resigned on my end of the signed contract estimate. so why are there no repercussions for you not honoring your end.! he had nothing to say and still haven't heard anything from them.

sooo as if our stuff arriving weeks late and being picked up late and being over charged, our items showed up missing and severally damaged, and one large item that was on the inventory which the driver admitted to have accidentally left isn't being picked up and was left behind. in the midst of my trying to get their claims info i'm being told i need to go to alliance the other company that they contracted out alliance says i need to go thru statewide van lines and on top of that was told that we are going to have to pay state wide van lines another 300 to get our grill ..was told that for $1795 we basically were moved for free :/ .. and also was called back to be threatened verbally stating that they have my address and they're going to get me he's like i know were u live ..and this was rueben who was stating his name was david ( smh) so ontop of getting ripped off stressed out i get to get threatened as well. better business has stated they cannot help because they refuse to provide me with a final bill of lading and no lawyers will touch it because i live din tX when the contract was made but i'm in florida and the company is in florida... so we are just plain SOL at this point which is really sad because this is probably going to keep happeneing

You and I have very similar stories! In fact, we have spoken with the same people, Tiffany, Mike and William - also called Willie. I have spoken to the so-called supervisor, I believe he said his name was Rudy, and was treated very badly. But it is a very similar tale of being made a promise by a company that states that "Customer Service is our number one priority" and yet continually being let down. I will be writing my own report, on this site as well as any other I can. I urge you to report this company to the BBB, they already have a rating of D+. My items were picked up on 09/25/12 and I have been told several times that they would be here the beginning of this week... and now the next week... and today I received an e-mail stating that my items were just loaded on a truck... no mention of the arrival date or how much I owe (I had numerous complaints, was supposed to be given a discount) so I called. I'm now being told that my things won't get here until 10/25 and that I owe $1,233... but that they could give me a $100 discount. Ha! Again, please report them, it should not be legal for a business to be a band of thieves, to rob their consumers of their money and their trust.
