The information provided in this report below is based on comments made by Rod Hobbs during an onsite inspection held by a third party verification company with no biases towards Steel Building Pros.

Steel Building Pros is a steel building company that provides a wide variety of different types of steel buildings to consumers. Rod Hobbs expressed that he takes pride in his work, and his company goes above and beyond for its customers, "something different about us would be that we're able to go meet with the customer at their location. Rather than just sale something over the telephone that might not suit their needs. We want to meet and see where the building is going to go, what they're going to use the building for, and go over different types of styles of buildings to make sure we have the right product to suit their needs."

Leads for Steel Building Pros are obtained through several different avenues including radio, Internet, classifieds, billboards, and referrals. Potential customers can reach out to Steel Building Pros to inquire about their building services. From there they will, "go out and meet with them and go over the different product lines that we carry, and find the building that is going to best meet their needs." Mr. Hobbs expressed that they want to be as involved as possible during the sales and services process, "we want to meet with them face to face to make sure that we are answering all their questions, and education them about their different options with our products. Because it's an important decision." Mr. Hobbs also expressed that their are over 100 steps from inquiry to the final product, and they will be there for every step of the process. He further stated, "It's a building. You can't afford to make a mistake. Attention to detail is everything."



CUSTOMER CARE & COMPLAINT RESOLUTION – STEEL BUILDING PROS

During the onsite interview Mr. Hobbs was asked to describe a situation where a client was not satisfied with the level of service they received. He expressed that most complaints come from a miscommunication during the viewing of the blueprints of the building. When a situation like this arises Mr. Hobbs stated, "I go through it with them and make sure we get it sorted out, sometimes that means giving them upgrades or different options for free." This is not a common complaint due to Steel Building Pros view on complaints, "how did we get here, and how do we make sure it doesn't happen again?"

When asked to comment on complaints posted on Ripoff Report's website Mr. Hobbs expressed that he believes the comments were posted by a disgruntled ex-employee. This is due to Steel Building Pros don't being able to find the customer’s name in their system, and him not spelling Mr. Hobbs' name correctly. Additionally, Mr. Hobbs reached out to the customer to correct the issue, but the customer never reached back out.

If a customer feels that they're not getting their needs met, and they're not getting the service the building that they paid for the service that their expecting I want to know about it. Ripoff Report would like to let readers know that Ripoff Report emailed this customer so the member business could make things right with them. Unfortunately a disgruntled employee was not happy over counseling about work ethics. The employee quit on the spot, swearing to get back at us somehow. A few weeks later, this popped up under a fake name from someone we've never entered into our database or have any records of. It's unfortunate that this individual couldn't handle corrective criticism and that they tried to hurt our company because of it. We have thousands of happy customers, some of who are display partners that love to show off their steel buildings and what they use them for.

Steel Building Pros is a complete scam.  They lie to you from the first sentence to the last with most of what is in between a lie as well.


 


Lie #1  They tell you that the person who comes out is not a salesmen because a salesman would try to sell you the biggest building for the highest price and add on a bunch of extras you don’t need.  Truth --  He is a salesman


 


Lie #2  They tell you that for “Display Partners” they will save you money by getting you a building that has been cancelled by someone else who lost their deposit so they can discount the building for you.  Truth --  There are no cancelled buildings.  They just tell you this so that you think you are getting a good deal and so you have to make a decision today or risk losing the opportunity to get this “great deal”.


 


Lie #3  They tell you that they are offering you the opportunity to be a “Display Partner”.  Someone who will let us send people out to see their building.  They tell you that they will pay you $100 every time they send someone out.  $250 every time one of those people buy.  They suggest to you that in the past they average sending out 10 to 15 people in the next 18 months.  They are, therefore, suggesting that the building will pay for itself because you are a “Display Partner”.  Further, they explain that they only take on a limited number of display partners in your area and they already have one person in the area who has agreed to do this so you would be lucky if we picked you.  Truth --  They tell this to everyone they sell buildings to.  You will probably never see anybody sent out by them because their prices are so high and if they do not get people to buy on the spot, they probably will not buy.  The average person has NO ONE SENT OUT TO SEE THEIR BUILDING SO YOU WILL GET NO MONEY.  (Note: in this one lie they have told 5 lies)


 


Lie #3  They claim they are looking for a nice place to show, not one that is junked out.  Truth – they will make anybody and everybody a “Display Partner”.


 


Lie #4  They tell you that they already have someone in your area that wants to be a display partner and they can have only one more but they came to this appointment anyway because 1 they didn’t want to cancel your appointment and 2 they wanted to see which one of the two would be a better display partner for their company.  Truth --  There is no other person.  It is a lie.  You are the person they are after and they will tell you that you are better than the other couple so lucky you, you get to be the “Display Partner”.


 


Lie #5  They tell you that they are the largest manufacturer of Clear span buildings in the world and they ship out over 120 clear span buildings every week.  Truth --  They do not manufacture any steel buildings. 


 


Lie #6  Once they have finished telling you about the buildings, they will say that they are calling to find out if they have a cancelled building that is approximately what you want in size and type.  Truth --  There are no cancelled builidings.  They will give you 3 buildings which are close to the size you want but bigger and cost more money.


 


Lie #7  They will tell you that there is one that is approximately the size you want, but 4 feet shorter but there is a managers hold on it.  They tell you that they will have to check to see if that building is available.  They tell the salesmen to call them back.  Truth – This is all a lie.  They just want you to think that you are lucky that they might have a building in the size that you want.


 


Lie #8  They will call back and tell the rep that the person was supposed to buy it did not pick it up so they can use it.  The salesman will sound all excited because they are able to find the building for you.  Truth  -  This is a new building that has never been sold.


 


Lie #9  They will tell you that they will go ahead and add the 4 feet for you so that it is the exact size that you want and tell you that they will give you a discount on it.  Truth --  Their prices are much higher than many places you can find the same building for on the internet.  Just shop around and you will find the building for much less than they will sell it to you for.


 


Lie #10  If you keep saying no --  They will keep lowering the price until they can lower it no more.  They will tell you that they are taking the money out of their advertising budget.  They will tell you that they are giving you an advance on “Display Partner” fees, etc.  Truth --  they are just lowering the price.


 


Lie #11  Be careful.  Sometimes, they will describe a building to you but put a different description on the contract that is an inferior building than the one that was described to you.  They will substitute a much cheaper building that is now where near as strong without telling you.


 


Are these the type of people you want to do business with?  Rob Hobbs, the owner of the company, Nicole Farris and Terry Peck, the sales managers, are all habitual liars.
