Steele management collected money with out providing services promised and send malicious emails toronto Ontario

To recap- 

I signed up with Steele Management      www.steelemanagement.com

August 13 2013. At the time (and still) they promise the $100 sign up fee as refundable if no placements are found within a year.

After a couple months of not hearing from them. I started sending monthly reminders that I was still waiting for that 1 job that I was promised. 

Eventually I (and others?) were sent an email with a link.

When I clicked on it - a screen showed up saying " the FBI and my computer security company recommend that I do not go any further into this sight because it is a well know phishing site"

Since then I have found out that if you hold the curser above the link without clicking on it the address will appear. It is -  (backslashs have been replaced with ! - to avoid making another attachment)  http:!!iieiu.com!swa!      (do not open this unless your computer security is strong - does anyone know more about this site?)

So I sent 3 emails to the agency asking about the link that was sent to me. No reply came.

Then I phoned the phone number I had been told to call at anytime - it had been disconnected. 

That is when I filled out the opening rip off report. March 5 2014

Within moments of publishing my Ripoff Report.  I finally got a response from the agency-

-Claiming that they have not sent me any malicious emails. 

-The registration fee is refundable if 1 year passes without us finding a placement.

-My file was being sent to his attorney.

I sent back- 

- Thanks for finally getting back to me about the malicious email that was sent to me.

• I WILL NOT open another attachment from you. And then signed it.
• Then I filled the rebutal with Ripoff Report

On May 5 I send another email reminding them that I am still waiting for the promised job. 

Drew Steele then sent me the 2nd email with a link. on May 18 2014

-”I sent you some message yesterday, but I am not sure if you have received it.You can  Click Here.and login to access the files

Thanks.”

I hover the curser above the link and it shows (backslashs have been replaced with ! to avoid making another attachment) weblogmix.co.id!billing!admin!1 (do not open this unless your computer security is strong-does anyone know more about this site?)

I mail back saying AGAIN that I WILL NOT be opening his attachment.

Then on may 25, 2014 I was sent this email 

“hey Kevin were workin on finding you something as soon as possible thanks we will let you know as soon as we do.”

(unsigned)

I figured by this time I wasn't going to get a job from them so it was probably best to wait unto the 1 year mark and then ask for my refund

1 year passes. I send 2 inquires about my refund. the 2nd request was on Aug 20 2014

On Aug 20 2014- 9:41pm -I get a response 

“Please call the agency to discuss your refund and date to pick it up 647-338-0482 please be advised that you will be liable for the comments   you make in any public form inc rip of report and the agency will pursue a slander suit against you.

I think this is a great direction and wait till the next day to respond.

But after I thank him the next day (before reading emails) I find that he had sent another email just 13 minutes after sending the last email.

On Aug 20 2014- 9:54pm -I get a 2nd response 

“Upon further discovery and looking now back to the past emails you have sent I will be very interested in having a one on one conversation with you .i have kept you rude emails to the agency and your slanderous comments are comical  at best .i have forwarded this all to rip off report and have no problem posting your emails .

As I said I send an email on Aug 21 2014 Thanking him for saying HE WOULD refund me and said I would call for time and place. And I signed the email.

Then his 2nd email (Aug 20 2014- 9:54pm) came to my attention - so I respond.

......”I would be glad to have a conversation with you but I will be recording it 

If you would like to write the cheque and get rid of me

I will come pick it up and then finish the ripoff report as things turned out

“Kevan I do not know what reality you live in .i will not be sending you or making a refund available to you .obviously you did not read the second email that informed you of this.it was unknown to my staff that sent you that email your history.your constant harassing emails your outlandish comments. and the simple fact that you were released from the agency when you first started making your unfounded claims these are only a few of the reasons .You violated the terms of  our agreement that you signed when you started to complain and Harass my staff see last paragraph furthermore I will be serving you and pursuing a  slander suit against yourself in civil court I have your photo and contact info so I do not believe the courts will have difficulty finding you .you.im also in discussion with my attorney to see if we can lay a criminal charge of extortion  your  comments about paying you to get rid of you so you do not file a bad report in my opinion is extortion and hopefully  the authorities do as well .i will use every resource I have and I do have many to clear my company's name of any wrong doing and it's going to be my pleasure making you an example . You will be made responsible for your actions and comments I will make sure of it .

What I get from this email 

-The refund is no good. He is keeping my $100

-How many staff does he have that can send unsigned emails?
-2 emails sent 13 minutes apart (by different people with different knowledge of history) and both signed  “Govern yourself accordingly    Sent from my iPad” - (Not signed)?

• My constant harassing of wanting a job, wanting to know why I received his “safe and secure Google Chrome attachment” and NOW wanting a refund has got me in trouble? Now he is talking to his attorney about charging me with ‘Extortion’ 
• I had to look it up.
• extortion - the practice of obtaining something, esp. money, through force or threats. 

-Just in this email he has said I ain’t getting my money back and now I am going to be charged with Slander/Extortion and he has my photo and info so I will be easy to find (I’m not hiding.) He will use all his many resources to make me an example. He will make sure of it. (Should I be looking over my shoulder.)

And then I read the definition of Extortion again.

At this point I remind him that there is no email evidence of being released from Steele management. But I do have email evidence of promised refund. Promised jobs. And 2 mysterious emails that ask me to click on attachment and sign in. I ask if they were attempts at identity theft. 

He has already answered the question before saying he has not sent any malicious emails. And that I will be going to court if I say that I received any. But now he seems to travel back in time to make things right.

His reply is as follows. 

“Your claim of identity theft is a true sign of your intelligence .it has been well documented that the agency email account was hacked and a an attempt to send a virus threw our contacts was ultimately avoided and stopped ,that explains the email that was sent to you .At no point did the agency attempt to steal your identity (comical) the agency did contact it's talent to advise them of this and to not open the email and it's attachment .As for the agency not making you aware of your release is untrue .I spoke directly to yourself several months ago and advised you that your tactics and harassment will not be tolerated and that any comments you make public you will be liable for . I think this is a desperate   attempt for attention on your part and I will no longer indulge it.i have forwarded your complaint to the BBB and all your outlandish emails as well and I will also forward these new correspondence to rip off report .please do not contact me again unless it is to apologize and be fairly warned I will pursue a slander suit and my attorney is having your comments looked at closely by the authorities . I have the financial means and motivation to pursue this .

So he did get hacked? and he stopped it before it went out? That is why I got 1 of the 2 emails with attachments? He was so busy sending out emails and contacting people individually that he was unable to answer my 3 inquires about these email attachments.? He waited until I filled a ripoff report before finally getting back to me to tell me he DID NOT send any malicious emails?

And as he has said before ‘he has the financial means and motivation to purse this’ but the 1 thing he will NOT DO is refund the money.

I ask about our 1 on 1 meeting. Did it get cancelled when I said I was going to record it?

He says he will charge me with harassment if I send any more emails.

I say that I will finish the ripoff report as things have turned out. 

His last email to me actually made me giggle.

‘Good luck with your bookings’ That is FUNNY.  

My advice to anyone is - do not sign up with this agency. (Ask the receptionist what her name is. She wouldn’t give it to me and that should have been the first sign for me)

If you have already signed with them DO NOT open any of there email attachments! and if you have the ability to forward or back up email evidence - Do it! (I have) Evidence is all we stand on. 

Most phones have the ability to record conversations - So every conversation you have with anyone connected to the agency should be recorded.

Hello.

Here's how to get Steele's attention and possibly get your money back (or at least cost them money). If you've been ripped off by them like I have, then stop them from ripping other people off. Stop them from being able to advertise.

STEP 1: Find their ads on Kijiji and copy the ID numbers. Steele regualry posts 2 ads daily – one from Queen & Bay (Eaton Centre) and one from Islington & Bloor (Etobicoke).

STEP 2: Go to bottom of Kijiji page and look under Kijiji Support>Contact Kijiji>Email Us. Then, under "Select Topic", choose "Report Scam" and report your story with the ID numbers of the ads.

ALT: The quicker way of doing this of course is to just usE the "Report Ad" button at the top right of the ad itself but sending Kijiji an email the first time will actually get a response. When I did this, their ads were stopped, and that takes money out of Steele's pockets.

Steele has recently reponded by starting to post from a different address but you can help stop them again. So keep reporting their ads. If more people contact Kijiji on a regular basis (even by just hitting the SCAM button) they will stop Steele from advertising on their site altogether. They just need your help to identify the ads because Steele posts from multiple email addresses and don't use their name of course.

Craig's List doesn't really monitor their ads unfortunately, so I'd concentrate on Kijiji. Keep on it. Don't let Steele get away with ripping you off. Because they're just counting on you to get frustrated and forget about it.

So i complain and i finally got a response to an email from steele management.

They have moved to a new location. guess i was just someone they did not want to tell?? not sure.- could this have been the "well known phishing site" that my computer security warned me about?? 

he was very pleasant and said there was no malicious email

he says there is still work and i will get my $100 back if i dont get work by the 1 year mark

He has sent my emails to his solicitor and invited me to his office at any time to discuss my concerns.

I hope that all i said in the previous complaint is false.

Now that he is responding to my emails I look forward to the next 5 months and will write back to this site with the outcome.
