"Stevn George" was looking at my friend's ad on craigslist. He promised that he would send her a cashier's check and also send her money to have a delivery company pick up the car from her house and to have it delivered to "Steven George's" home. My friend was selling the car for a fixed price and he offered more money towards the car. He kept telling her he sent the money. He wanted my friend's personal information, such as address and information, but when it came to asking him for his information, he tried to control the purchase. He wouldn't give her his information to fill out the necessary paper work for the purchase. Eventually, he didn't respond to her anymore.
In the beginning I told her it sounds like a scam, but she thought it seem legit. I do not see how it was legit, when the buyer did not even come see the car before hiring a delivery truck to move the vehicle. He based it on trust, but who would give away free money. Just becareful, this was a buyer that saw my friend's ad on craiglist.
