Stevensville auto truck marine Shawn Stephany Ott Fraud in Truck repair Niagara Falls , Ontario

On January 11, 2012 we took our F350 diesel truck to Stevensville Auto Truck Marine for a repair. We were told by Shawn Ott that the repair would cost $200 and be finished in 2 days. We advised Mr Ott that we needed the vehicle repaired by January 23, 2012 for a trip we planned a year ago. The F350 is our tow vehicle for our travel trailer. On January 21, 2012 Mr Ott presented us with an invoice for $1414 and demanded money or he wasn't going to work on our truck any more. 

Mr Ott decided to pull the head out of our truck without our knowledge or approval sometime between Jan 11 and Jan 21, 2012. That is how the invoice was so much money. We paid Mr Ott as we were desperate for our tow vehicle. 

We quickly realized our truck would not be ready and hastily purchased another diesel tow vehicle. Mr Ott promised to have our vehicle repair by the time we returned from our vacation. 

When we returned from our trip in February and found our F350 on the side of the road outside Mr Ott's house with the license plates removed. Nothing had been done to the truck. It had been gutted and was in pieces. 

Mr Ott demanded more money for parts and labour and became violent throwing tools around the shop stating "we were screwing him". We investigated other shops to see if we could take our truck elsewhere, but most wouldn't even look at a diesel truck in so many pieces. 

My husband began going over and working on the truck himself at the beginning of march. With much persuasion Mr Ott began to put the truck back together. He was rarely at his shop/house when he said he'd be and would disappear for days at a time. 

On March 16, 2012 we gave Mr. Ott another $300 and he stated this would be the last payment. Out total including parts and labour was over $4000. For weeks we were told the truck had a starter problem. 

On March 28, 2012 we decided to tow the truck away from Mr Ott's shop/house. We called Mr Ott and he advised us he'd be home. We arrived and Mr. Ott was not at home. We towed the vehicle to a different location. We then called Mr Ott to advise him we had moved the vehicle. 

Mr Ott and his wife Stephany became irate. They started screaming at us over the phone and threatening us. They hung up left us feeling exposed. I called the police to have an information report made and advised the police that i was concerned Mr & Mrs Ott may come to our home. The police advised us to call 911 if they did come to our house. 

An hour and a half after calling the police Shawn and Stephany Ott showed up at our house and started screaming at my husband while I called 911. They quickly left and were pulled over by the police a few minutes later. 

We were advised by police that an information report would be submitted and any further action would be settled in civil court. 

Our truck still does not work. It will not start. The body was damaged when Mr Ott drove into the truck with another vehicle. There is also green paint all over the rear driver's side fender. It looks like it's from overspray. 

The ground around the Stevensville Auto Truck Marine shop is saturated with motor oil. The couple sustains themselves by selling items on kijiji and breeding dogs. The condition of the animals was sub standard and we have reported this to the human society. There are several oil spills on the property.
