STAY CLEAR! He cheated us out of $7500!!! My wife met with on a Monday he said he would be done with the project Tuesday. That Saturday I get a call from our contractor saying the electrical isn't done. I write an email, and he responded with some excuse (which he had many)We wrote him an email and sent him a text saying not to go back to our home until we tell him. The following Friday my wife went back to the home and saw one of workers working on the house without our permission. We again told him not to come back to our house. We then got an invoice for the money owed after he came back and did work we didn't authorize him to do. He also threatened us with a lien on our home. We had 3 different electricians come in to bid the job. All 3 said it was the worst job they had ever seen! We had to re-do a lot of his work he said was finished. We asked him to work with us on the price, which he did not. We didn't have the money to go to court so we had to pay him.

Dishonest Couple Got Caught trying To Rip off Sub contractors

AUTHOR: rockskis - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, November 20, 2013

This couple contacted us to do the electrical on their home, knowing full well they were going to try and not pay for the work and materials. When they had us come over the home was not ready to wire. They first told us they had friends who would do this electrical work after we gave them the price. Then suddenly, they said their friends where too busy. After we told them the home was not ready to be wired they said, Okay just come over and get it done when it is ready. They came over and told us please hurry to get the home ready for inspection on the next Monday, which we did working extra hours that Friday. Then on Saturday, they sent us a lame text message saying, "We want you to stop all work on the home our friends can finish it up." They accused us of poor workmanship, but we do not even have any punch list items on our inspection. This was after there was $7,500 in materials and work completed, we had only a few hours to strip out and make final connections. They wanted to pay us $2,000 for our work and materials. When we told them we would file a mechanic's lien for our money instead, they told us they would not pay us anything. Finally their own bank sent out an inspector and looked at the work and told them they could not get away without paying for this work. This was not the only time they tried to rip off subconstractors on their little dream home. Just beware of these little cheats they will say and do anything to rip you off. If they would have gone to court, as their own bank knew, they would have been liable for several thousand more than our offer to settle for $7,500. We even gave them original discounts that should not have been honored under the circumstances, they are completely dishonest and hateful as well.
