stonebridge casualty travelex via cheapo air I had to pay $967 for a one way ticket to return to my temporary home in Hawaii after my dad died. I paid for the insurance in the event that I would have to stay later due to funeral arrangements. They stated they could not offer me reimbursement since I knew my dad would die! Then, they said that Cheapo Air would give me $312 toward a new ticket which cost $967. I could not use it due to the time I had to remake my reservation( office was closed) THEN, when I called to use the $312 toward another air ticket this year, they told me it was no good unless I was traveling to the same deestination on the same airline! I no longer live in Hawaii! Niagra Falls New York Nationwide

I got caught in a situation between Cheapo Air, American Airlines and Stonebridge Casualty Travelex insurance. No one wanted to take responsibility for the coverage I paid for to help me with several things:

1) I got caught in the snow storm in Dallas on the way to Philadelphia to deal with my dad in hospice.

2) Because I did not have original receipts just my debit card proof of purchases I was not reimbursed for cab ride or breakfast,lunch and dinner. This amounted to a measly $65.

3) Because my dad did die a few days later and I had to stay for the funeral, I was denied reimbursement of a $967 ONE WAY ticket to return home since I had to stay over 2 more days. AND the return ticket was useless so I was out the $967 and the cost of the original return ticket which was $314.

4) Then the airlines AND Cheapo air stated that they would give me a $314 credit. To use this credit, there would be a $200 penalty, leaving only $114. AND that $114 would have to be used ONLY to return to the original destination where I no longer live. WHAT A JOKE!

American Airlines and Cheapo Air got away with RIPPING ME OFF for the last time. I will no longer use either!
