Hey Jami,
We're sorry to hear about this. All of our locations in Missouri follow laws set by the state regarding the auction process. This includes attempted contacts by phone, email and certified mail to notify customers who are past due. Auctions do not occur any earlier than 86 days after a missed payment so we'd like to get in touch with you to review this process. Please reach out to us at help@storage-mart.com at your earliest conveience to discuss.
Thanks!

If you are late you are subject to having your items sold, this is part of the agreement you signed when you got the storage unit.
Now, they are required to follow the regulations, including notification and how long they have to wait. If they followed the law there isn't much you can do. But realize that notification is generally no more than sending you a letter to the contact info they have on file. If you moved and failed to update it then they are not required to "track you down" to make sure you got it...per the law they met the notification requirement.
