*UNLAWFUL STORAGE AUCTION/THEFT OF MY PROPERTY: Told me I could pay my rent at a later time, then sold my property at auction without informing me that the property was going to auction.

I repeat: this storage facility sold all my property in an illegal auction, without telling me at all. I had regularly paid my rent for two years.

*RENIGING ON AN ORAL AGREEMENT.

*Illegally selling the entire content of the storage unit off.

*NOT GIVING CUSTOMER PROPER NOTICE THAT AUCTION OF PROPERTY IS TAKING PLACE; VIOLATING CALIFORNIA CIVIL CODE OF PROCEDURE.

*DECEPTIVE TRADE PRACTICES: Not emailing me at the emailing address which they knew they could reach me and which they had for over two years time; instead sending an email to a previous email address which was written on the original contract, and then they misspelled it when they sent it, so I never received it, and couldn't stop the auction of my property since I never knew it was happening.
How do I know they misspelled it? Because their corrupt attorney sent me a copy of the email they sent on the discovery documents after I sued them within 10 days of finding out they sold my property.

*RENT RATE GOUGING; increasing the monthly rent every 6 months until the rate doubled within 2 years: "railroading" a customer until they couldn't afford the rent.

*Sued storage master in court: their defense attorney lied inorder to stop the case. Court of Sonoma County refused to give me a trial after I showed them evidence that storage master had misspelled the email address, so I never received proper notice that the auction was taking place, and that the storage facility manager had given me an oral agreement then reniged on it.

Where is the RipOff?

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, April 07, 2011

So you don't pay your bill, they auction off the property, you sue them and loose.  Yet they are the ones that are wrong.

CA requires that they send a letter either by Certified Mail or getting a Certificate of Mailing, showing proof that they mailed a notice.  Since we don't know all of the details it is hard to say exactly why the judge ruled against you.  Perhaps they had proof of mailing, and the e-mail address didn't matter, or the court figured it was a good faith attempt so counted that as a notice.

As for raising the rent on the unit, there was nothing that says you must continue with them.  You could have gone to another more affordable location.

and couldn't stop the auction of my property since I never knew it was happening.
- The only way you would have been able to stop the auction was to pay your bill.  If you could get the money to stop the auction why didn't you just pay the bill in the first place?
