Stores Online has entered the Canadian market place with their high pressured, fast paced sales pitch for making money via internet sales. It starts out with a couple hour evening session that sets the stage and leads into a one day workshop. At the workshop you are presented with information about Store Online, their store front services and basically pressured into to buying into the program on a today only offer. Granted we all have the ability to say "no" and I think most would including myself if we had been presented all the facts. Once the smoke has cleared and you begin to read over the next week or so what you have signed up and paid for it becomes clear that not all the facts and hidden fees were presented during the session. You are further dupped by their promise of further infomation at a future session that is free if you take the top package which by the way nets out to over $6000.00 when everything is said and done. Then comes the phone calls from other organizations (PMI,Electronic Marketing Services, The Tax Center) all affiliates of Stores Online trying to sell you their services to accelerate the launching of your stores fronts. These service if you elect to do so can take your investment to well over $30,000.00. In the end you soon see that their service are less then presented, the task of taking a business to the internet is harder then they portray and the hidden fess continue to build. Stores Online (aka) Imergent Inc. (aka) Galaxy Mall Inc. has over 350 complaints lodged against them (www.ripoffreport.com) as well as documented cases in Maine, California, Texas, Washington State and Australia. As a Canadian I would file a complaint with the Competition Bureau, 50 Victoria Street, Gatineau, Quebec, K1A 0C9 or call toll free 1-800-348-5358 or go to competitionbureau.gc.ca. Any persons wishing to enter into a class action law suite please contact me. Chris Baldwin, Ontario

Rebuttal to Joe in Lindon

AUTHOR: Formerpmi - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, September 07, 2006

Joe in lindon stated:PMI has had a long and strong relationship with Stores Online for years, but we are not Stores Online.

Joe, first off, you are right. You are not Stores Online, they are a much more reputable company than PMI. Second, you are implying that maybe SOL is a bad company but that doesnt make you bad. WRONG. It is just as bad to maintain a "strong relationship" with a bad company. The canned line "we are not storesonline" means nothing. If you wish to disassociate yourself with their bad actions you should not maintain a profitable relationship with them.

For information purposes, and as a former PMI employee, I will state why they are a scam, for others to reference. I will show you multiple lies in just the opening lines of a phone call

Right away they say "Im calling to help you get started with your kit" Even if the person asks then directly "are you selling something?" they will say, "No I just want to help you get started" In reality, they are just trying to sidetrack the customer and trick them into thinking this is free help, when the scumbag salesguy (or setter as they call them, cause they are setting you up) knows nothing about the kit, in my next letter I will show you how he disguises digging into your personal info as "help".

Then the opening line or the "blast" as they call it. They say "Right now, we are taking a handful of people/a few people, to work with one on one for the next 6 months" Now let me explain what is dishonest about this line. First they actually train you to emphasize the "right now" cause they want the person to think this is a one time thing, not something they can do in a year. They wont tell them the truth, that they could call in at any time in the future and work with PMI if your willing to pay, they say its now or never. Thats lie #1. Next you use the words "a handful or a few people" PMI wants the customer to think they just hit the jackpot, PMI will only work with "a few" people, they will not answer you if you ask how many people are on the "success team". The truth is that its not a few or a handful, they bring on at least 30 new people a day. You are just one of many suckers.Thats lie #2.

Third, they say they will work with you for 6 months, sounds long huh!! Reality is that you will get one half hour session a week for 8 weeks. Thats 2 months, not 6. For the next 4 months they say you are in charge of reaching your "coach", but he will be unreachable, he has literally hundreds of people hes working with. So you can call a Coaching hotline which they say is made up of real coaches who rotate through when they are not busy. Not True. The coaching hotline is a bunch of 18 yr olds making 10-12 bucks an hour to answer general inquiries. So lie #3, you get 2 months of coaching not 6. Lie four...and really they can justify any of these, cause the are not "lies" they are misrepresentations, or twisting of words( I still call that a lie)..so lie four. "One on One" yes technically while you are talking to your coach for 30 min once a week you are one on one. But they tell you to emphasize this to make the person feel like they will literally be the only person working with this expert.

Do you see how dishonest they are!! This is just the opening line!! I think I will make a series of these if rip-off report will allow it. I will break down every paragraph of their dishonest pitch. It would take me literally hours to expose every lie. Til my next installment, I hope the PMI'ers are sleepin good at night.

I too, fell for the storesonline scam

AUTHOR: Jim - (Canada)

POSTED: Sunday, August 13, 2006

Hi Chris and Heather

I'm not going to comment on the business practices of storesonline... they speak for themselves.

However I'm very interested on a class action suit, it did work in Australia.

We need to make an example of them ..

PMI Response

AUTHOR: Joe - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, March 31, 2006

Chris - PMI has had a long and strong relationship with Stores Online for years, but we are not Stores Online. We are familiar with EMS, but are not EMS. We have referred clients who have tax needs to the Tax Club, but are not tied to them other than that. PMI has no record of a Chris in Baldwin, ON, Canada.

Heather - PMI has no record of a client named Heather in Toronto, ON, Canada.

People - Be careful what you read.
