I received a notification that Stores Online, Inc. was going to have a seminar at the Red Lion Inn, located in Medford, Oregon, toward the end of January of 2003. I paid the $20 fee for the workshop and watched all that they had to offer. They led us to believe, through a few keynote statements, this is a legitimate offer and anyone could do it with success, even if they knew nothing about computers. . These statements were: One storefront will offer you an income, but the more storefronts you have the more income will be generated. If you want to be sure of an income, it is best to have three or six storefronts. You can make a fortune, but we can't guarantee you will. However we can tell you this, if you follow the tips we are teaching you at this workshop, and the information that will come with the storefronts, be willing to invest in the training offered and follow their directions through other programs, you will make it. There are no doubts. You don't have to use Stores Online to host your storefront, though we hope that you will, you can use anyone you want to go through. Once I had my six storefronts programs in my hands and looked over what they have to offer me, I realized it isn't as simple as what we had been led to believe. I could see how useless these storefronts were to me unless I either paid them a huge amount to do it for me, or learned how to do it myself. Yes, I was truly at their mercy. About two weeks later I received a gift basket at my door from PMI Training, and on February 18, 2003 a Mr. Shannontolley, Vice President of PMI, called to sell me on purchasing their course so I could get my new storefronts generating a cash flow. Mr. Shannontolley's phone number is1-800-860-8068 (Ext. At the time was 7134) New Ext. 6834. When Mr. Shannontolley disclosed the one time investment price of only $8,109 for their program, I told him there wasn't any way I could afford to do this. That amount added to the Stores Online's $5,299 investment for the six storefronts, would be far more than foster parent's income could allow. He laughed and assured me how with their training I couldn't go wrong. He then reminded me of the workshop and how we had been advised, if we had wanted to succeed, we must follow their advice. After all, setting up storefronts is their business! He then asked, "Don't you want your storefronts to be successful?" Mr. Shannontolley went on with how after I had one storefront up and running it would generate enough cash flow to get the next one online and operative. Then with a domino affect soon they all would all be up and running. With this happening the investment wouldn't even be felt. I came back with, "What if I find that I can't afford the payments, then what?" Mr. Shannontolley assured me, in a buddy to a buddy manner, that if this does happen, which he highly doubted, they would pick up where I needed help. Each month all I had to do was to tell them that I'm short and they would cut me a check to pay the Visa bill. He went on with how sure he was it wouldn't happen with the training I would be receiving, "So there is nothing to worry about or stand in your way," he concluded. I started my training on March 7, 2003 with instructor Kevin Graves. Because of the stress, I asked him to please get the first storefront on as quickly as possible. I needed to generate enough cash flow to cover the debt payment. He did as I had requested, and I followed his instructions to the letter, not missing one step.$$$$$$$$$$$$$ The first payment was due and I still hadn't generated one cent from my website. I called up Mr. Shannontolley and reminded him of what he had said, how if I wasn't able to make the payment to let him know . . . well, I couldn't. He told me not to worry, all I had to do was to sign a document he would be sending me and they would handle it from there. On March 17th I received the papers and couldn't believe what I was expected to sign. It read: I hereby accept the above-mentioned credit ($600) as refund in full for the program purchased from Stores Online, or that specific portion of the program and/or products returned herein. I also hereby acknowledge that Stores Online, its associates and assigns, are released from any further responsibility or liability relating to the purchase herein, or to that portion of the program and/or products being returned. I called up Mr. Shannontolley and said this is not what he had told me over the phone to convince me to buy into their program, and if I were to sign the agreement all that I had would be worthless. I couldn't in good faith sign such an agreement. Again he laughed and said how this was just word, and not to worry about them. All I had to do was to attach my own agreement at the bottom and send it right along with their contract. I was to have a place for Mr. Nate Day (He came into the picture on March 7th, his Ext. #6809) to sign the contract, then a copy would be returned to me. Here is what I sent: "The amount authorized ($600.00) is for credit card payments only and does not in any way remove obligations to be rendered toward Dorene XXXXXXX by Stores Online or their subsidiary company PMI. The existing contract between Dorene XXXXXX with Stores Online and PMI are still valid. Dorene J. Stamper is still entitled to all services and privileges as before the signing of this contract." With this I signed both contracts and faxed it to the attention to Sharon, whom Mr. Shannontolley asked for it to be sent to . . . Fax: 801-492-7189. Mr. Nate Day never sent me a copy with his signature. Doing all that is required to bring about a storefront is very expensive, and after two attempts I was not able to generate even one cent...not even a penny. I saved up until I was able to at least get the storefronts online for informational use, but when I went to host them with Go Daddy I found that Stores Online had changed their format and now it is mandatory to host through them. They are far more expensive to go through than Go Daddy. When I made them aware that according to my contract I could go through anyone I desired they gave me a choice: Either I host through them, or give up all rights to the six storefronts. I have invested more than $14,659.12 and what do I have to show for it? As all of you know by now, once you have your storefronts programs and look them over, you realized you are at the mercy of ruthless outlaws wearing suits and a smile. Here is a thought, how about a lawsuit against Stores Online, Inc and PMI Training? After all the money we have put into this mess, let's put out a little more and try to get back what they have swindled and put them out of business. Let's show them the same mercy they have shown others. Many feel once they have been ripped-off there is nothing they can do. Don't be misled into a false feeling of hopelessness. Please, if you are one of the thousands who have been ripped-off, either by StoresOnline, PMI Training, or anyone else, be sure to file a report with Rip-off Report. The more reports filed, the better the chances are these felons will be brought to justice. We all must work together. Hopefully, other reporters from the media, along with government authorities will soon take action. Why they haven't yet? You will have to ask them. I spoke with Ed, the founder of Rip-off Report, by phone in Phoenix Arizona. He said, when requested, Rip-off Report staff will put the authorities, and the media, in touch with those who feel they have been victimized by Stores Online and/or PMI Training. But only if they have filed a Rip-off Report. So please get your reports in now. If a lawyer is interested in suing them, they should contact Rip-off Report. By the way, I'm a reporter, but the publication I work for only reports on good news. Now, if we take them down. . .this WILL be good news. :o) CLICK here to see why Rip-off Report, as a matter of policy, deleted either a phone number, link or e-mail address from this Report.
